Narrator's POV •

Atlas was in deep thought about his parents. He over heard some of what his they said that day and hated that their love had to be contained because of the rules.

But there was one other thing he hated most, Lucifer.

When it came down to it, in his mind, he was the cause of all their troubles so he wanted to do some thing about it.

Atlas was under close observation for any changes due to the ritual. So far, their was nothing at all and he was sorely disappointed and impatient.

The young boy watched them play with each other from afar and couldn't help the smile that lingered on his face.

Al waheeb doesn't deserve Aella.

Almost every day that thought would run through his head. To him, Al wasn't man enough to stand up for his family no matter the odds. His mother was the true apple of his eye. He admired her strength, resilience and rebel ways.

She showed him how to really be a man. She was more of the father figure of the family. He wanted to vent out to Al waheeb about how he should act as a man but he had enough respect to not cross that line. The man still raised him so he felt he owed him that much by not snapping at him.

Al waheeb was his father even more so now by blood.

He never really got along with the others that were his age. They all wanted to stay in line and follow whatever their parents wanted, even if meant sacrificing their happiness.

A sigh escaped his lips when his father called him over.

He hesitantly obeyed. Just like Aella he could be awkward whenever it came to showing affection to his parents but neither of them shied away from showing Atlas love in their own way.

"I remembered you telling me about that missing sibling of yours. Do you know where she could be?" Aella asked cleaning off her armour, well stolen armour.

She saw it in one of Lucifer's luxurious room's. Aella wondered how he got all of this but then again he is the Lucifer. All powerful with magic beyond our understanding or imagination so he was capable.

"I have no idea. She's is likely dead so just leave it alone" he dismissed, fanning her off whilst lowering his head.

Aella sighed and looked over at Al.

"If you feel leaving it alone is the best then we'll leave it be"

"But -

Aella glared at Al, her brow raised at him.
"Don't question me, let the boy make his own decisions. He's the one that's going to live with it" she scolded lifting her armour and carried it further down into the cavern to put it down.

The two were left alone.

"Father"

"Yes Atlas" Al answered feeling dread rise in his throat as he shifted his body, facing  the young boy.

"Do you love us?"  he questioned

"More than anything?" he replied confidently.

"Then why not do everything in your power to make our lives better. From what I hear you're a powerful man. You even made mother have magic which should be impossible"
