Narrator's POV•

The past few days were troubling and challenging but it proved beneficial for  Miriam and she felt proud of her improvements. The surge of magic rushing through her veins still felt foreign but strangely welcoming.

Chantria found it almost impossible to channel her power without using an object. There power was too raw to just shoot from the palms and wrist especially with big spells and summons.

It puzzled her to no end as to why it seemed almost effortless for Miriam.

But her curiosity could destroy the trust she was trying to build. So begrudgingly she just did what she promised to do.

Atlas made sure to keep an eye on the lady because he didn't trust her with his daughter. Every once in a while he and Miriam would still spar and to his surprise and satisfaction she was getting better. He came to actually enjoy getting pummeled by her but he would never admit that....

Ever.

Ruelle and Erris actually started getting along. Atlas would come by and hold the triplets if he was with Miriam or out with his children, hunting for food or whatever else.

Currently Ruelle was at the lake with Martina, getting the kids cleaned.

She always worried for her children's health when it came to the constant climate change.

It was snowing last night but it was really warm now and the lake was cool.

The babies would cough or sneeze which developed into a cold but it wouldn't last any longer than a week or a few days.

It was all thanks to their strong genes.

Zenith was growing up and already trying to keep up with his numerous gigantic aunts and uncles.

"Seems you and Erris or all buddy buddy now. You've forgotten all about me" Martina said buttoning Zenith's shorts as he bit on the skin of his index finger.

"Stop being jealous and shouldn't you be happy were getting along she is my mother in law after all" she replied handing Hina over to Martina and she gently took her.

"Is it just me or does Hina reassembles you the most?" she looked up at her friend that gave her a weird look.

"I really don't see it." she said balancing her son and daughter on her hips like a pro.

"I've never told you this but your really strong. Birthing and taking care of triplets is hard work"

It triggering Ruelle to remember her dream last night.

She was pregnant and was laying on a raft in the lake rubbing her stomach. The triplets was playing with a man.

She called out to them but they were too emersed with the man. They looked to be at least around 10. He was dressed in full black with straight blonde hair, that's all she could make out. She tried getting off the raft only to see it wasn't water but blood.  Panic struck through her and she rose her head to look ahead only to see a huge pile off random human bodies heaped up beside of them.

Their clothes were tattered and drenched with blood.

She looked at her left hand to see that their wasn't any engagement ring. Her eyes went over to them again to see multiple individuals standing over the corpse that resembled what should be her fiance.

The raft started to sink, pulling her under as she screamed and wailed for help.

She woke up and was bombarded with questions by Miriam but she would avoid each one and change the subject.
