Cover, Title, and Blurb 4 / 5
Cover: It suits the book, honestly. Set in Roman times, and all. Although, it doesn't really have anything to do with the book. If there was a main character, or has something to do with the book, it might be a bit better, but if you left it, no big deal.
Also, you might want to make the title square a bit bigger, just so your name isn't in tiny font, and also then it'll fill up the cover a bit more.Title: This title definitely works, and I also love how you included it in the blurb
Blurb: Nice job introducing the character and main plot but not giving too much away. Like mentioned above, I like how you included the title.
Grammar and Spelling 7 / 10
This is one area that you'd need to focus more on. Mostly just small spelling errors, and I commented little suggestions. There's not much else to say about this.
Detail 10 / 10
There is no way I'd give you anything but full marks for this. Every chapter, paragraph, sentence, even had an astonishing amount of description. It was like I was put there right in the scene.
Plot 9 / 10
I read six chapters and the plot was just getting started. It wasn't moving too fast, but it was also a little slow to get rolling. I understand you were setting up characters and their backgrounds, but unless you're planning on doing many many chapters, you might want to get into the plot a little earlier.
Originality 4 / 5
The fact it was set in Roman times were definitely original. In terms of plots though, arranged marriages and then falling in love because of said marriages isn't that common of a plot, but it's not really unique. That being said, I do like the twist you put on it.
Flow of the Story 5 / 5
The pacing was nice, although a bit slow, and you didn't introduce every character in the first chapter, which was nice, because I got to know and remember one character before getting introduced to a new one. Some books throw all the characters into the first chapter, then I immediately forget who is who.
Overall Enjoyment 5 / 5
Total 48 / 50
Last little comment: I LOVED the introduction of another language! Most books don't have that nowadays, but I love them. Even when some authors put in made up languages, it just makes me happy.
Good luck, and Keep On Writing!
