Payal immediately came out hearing the ruckus, and supported Khushi who was feeling a little lightheaded.

Khushi looked at Arnav apologetically, "I am so sorry, it's just that the smell of this strong coffee made me sick." she said.

Arnav didn't say anything and retreated to his apartment. And Khushi felt sad seeing that.

.

.

"This is so not done Pie! Why did I have to get sick in front of that cute guy? If I keep repulsing guys like this, how will I ever have a baby before 30?" she said, wiping her face clean with a towel that Payal handed her.

"Oh GOD! Just stop it khush! You can have a baby after you turn 30 too, and even when you are 40, ok? So, stop it!"

"What? But-"

"Nope. And if a guy leaves due to something that wasn't in your control, it's better to not chase him."

Khushi pouted sadly.

Just then the doorbell rang. Wondering who it was, Payal went to open the door.

And there stood a very handsome man holding a tray, "Hey. I am Aman. My friend has recently moved into the apartment next to yours. He sent this for your roommate as she got sick because of us."

Aman did what Arnav had told him to do and left.

Payal kept smiling sheepishly even as he left and only when Khushi called her, she realized she was still at the door.

Payal came inside with the tray, it had a glass of freshly made lemonade, and a note on the side which Khushi immediately reached out for.

'I am sorry my coffee made you sick, let me make it up to you. Will you go for dinner with me tomorrow? -Arnav'

The smile that came on Khushi's face after that could have illuminated their entire apartment! He wasn't repulsed but had gone back to do this for her! Realizing that, she grinned ear to ear!

--*--

Arnav and Khushi had a fun dinner date the next evening. They both felt an instant connection between them. Not to mention every time their hands slightly brushed off against each other's, there was a current! So, either their skins were dry and needed moisturizing or sparks were flying here!

Since the restaurant they were at was near to the beach, Arnav suggested they go for a walk before heading out. And Khushi excitedly nodded. She was getting more and more charmed by this man who clearly knew how to woo a girl!

After walking a few steps Khushi felt tired, and thus, they found a place to sit. But as they were about to sit down, Arnav suddenly held her hand to stop her.

"Let's go somewhere else." He said in panic mode.

Khushi got confused and started looking around at what made him suddenly nervous. But except a couple and their 2–3-year-old baby who was playing with their pet dog, she didn't find anyone around. Was Arnav scared of dogs? She bit her lip to hold her giggle, and asked him teasingly, "So, Arnav is scared of dogs, huh?"

"Not the dog. The baby!" he replied instantly that made her stumped!

Taking advantage of her speechlessness, he successfully took her away and then found a 'safe' place away from all 'little humans' around...

.

.

They were sitting side by side, Khushi drawing random patterns on the beach sand. Arnav tentatively reached out to hold her hand to which she didn't protest. Slowly, they looked at each other, getting lost in the other's eyes in the process. Khushi felt as if she had felt the exact same thing before.
