Jules and Benjamin walked in from their patrol. Jules rushed to Katey's side. "Are you all right Love? You are covered in blood."

"It is not mine. The children were bitten by an awful man." Katey told him.

"Where is this man now?"

"He is burning in my oven."

"What? You killed him?" Jules was in shock.

"No Jules. The Council ordered his execution for violating one of the conditions of his release."

"He bit the children?" Jules said.

"Where are they now?" Benjamin asked.

"The Council put them to bed after healing their bites."

"The Council came to their aid." Jules smiled.

"Good I am glad." Benjamin said approvingly.

"Have you told them about your special abilities yet?" Paddy asked him.

"Yes Paddy I have. They were amazed when I transformed." Jules smiled warmly. "They thought I was joking with them. They took it all in stride. They asked all the important questions like how often I do that. How long have you been doing that? Are there others like you and the best one. What other kind of creatures that are real?"

"They are curious."

"Yes Paddy they are."

"We will introduce everyone slowly."

"Yes letting it sink in is the best way."

"Good. We will leave you now. Good night."

"Good night all of you and thank you for all the help."

"You are welcome Katey. Good night."

We left the kitchen.

Samantha and Rachelle waited until we were far away from the kitchen.

"Does Katey know that they are your descendants?"

"I have not told her."

"Me neither."

"What about Cassie and Quinn would they have told her?"

"No I do not think so." I said.

"Besides your family and us. Who else knows?" Samantha asked.

"Athos." They nodded.

"He would not have told her either."

"We know." They said together.

"Good night."

"Good night."

Paddy and I went to our quarters. It was time for his sleep cycle.

I laid down with him and promptly fell asleep. I awoke to Paddy shaking me awake.

"Kylie Love are you all right? You never fall asleep." He looked so worried.

"I think so. I had not realised I had fallen asleep. Sorry."

He held me tight then backed away. "You are trembling."
