"I want a show of hands who thinks Suzie put up the best fight."

A few hands went up.

"All right now Kylie."

Everyone else put up their hands.

"That is not fair." Suzie screamed. "I put up a good fight. She had to dodge my sword."

"Dodging is one thing. Sidestepping is another." Shaun said to her.

"Sidestepping?"

"Yes you moved too slowly. All Kylie had to do was to move to one side. You forget Kylie is a vampire she moves extremely fast."

Suzie stood their gaping at Shaun.

"Now go see Scott and have your wounds tended to." He told her.

"But I still have two more challenges."

"Not anymore. You lost your fight against Kylie."

"But ..."

"Go Suzie to Scott's room. Now." Shaun pointed his finger towards the family corridor.

She moved slowly off the square when she was finally off. Paddy, Quinn, Athos and Julian rushed to me. Shaun was already holding me up.

"Why was she allowed to use a silver sword?" Athos asked angrily.

Athos and Julian both gave me a cup of their blood.

"It is not working." Paddy said.

"Bring her to your quarters." Shaun said quietly.

Paddy picked me up and carried me to our quarters.

Shaun, Quinn, Athos, Julian, Arthur and Anna followed us. Colleen came out of her quarters as we past by. "By the Gods! What happened to Kylie?"

"She was fighting with Suzie." Quinn told her.

"Why?"

"That is what I want to know." Shaun said sternly.

Paddy put me down on our bed. He was covered in my blood.

"Did you fight her too?" His mother asked.

"No," he looked down at himself, "this is Kylie's blood." Colleen looked at Athos and Julian. "Why have you not given her some of your blood?"

"We have. Suzie's sword was silver." Athos told her.

"Why does she have a silver sword?" Colleen exclaimed.

Everyone shrugged their shoulders.

"If it is the silver that is keeping Kylie from healing, she is going to need some of my blood." Anna gave me her wrist. I took a couple of mouthfuls. She turned to Arthur. "Let her have some of yours Son."

"All right Mom." I drank from Arthur too.

The cuts started to heal. Everyone sighed in relief.

I sat up. Paddy smiled. I kissed him.

"Now tell me why the three of you challenged Suzie?" Shaun was very upset.

"It seems the old McCurdys want to spar with some experienced swordsmen." Paddy told his father. "Katey told us ever since they slayed those mortals they have wanted to fight immortals."

"Is that why they fought their children?"

"Yes Dad. We think so."

"But why Suzie?"

"She was the worst one out of the three. She wanted immortal blood."

"She almost succeed with Missy." Quinn said.
