"Yes I am so glad I went with them that time. I learned so much. It has helped me with Quinn. Now Cassie." He looked so relieved.

Paddy stayed at the hut. I went foraging for food. I found some berries and apples. I brought them to Paddy.

"These are so delicious." He bit into the apple he was holding. "Mm."

I brought the rest of my find into the hut.

"Paddy where is Cassie?"

He walked in. "She has gone to relieve herself in the back room." He pointed to a small curtained doorway.

I nodded.

Cassie walked out of the backroom.

"Mom. You are here." She came and hugged me.

"I have been having some strange dreams."

"Oh?"

"Running through the woods, shifting constantly. I am so tired." I glanced at Paddy.

He signed. 'Normal.'

"Are you hungry? I found some fruit for you."

"Oh Yes Momma." She sat down and started to eat. Paddy smiled.

He started a small fire so I could boil some water for tea. He had made sure he brought some when he was packing the food.

Paddy and Cassie were outside sitting in the sunshine sipping their tea, a short time later.

"This feels so good." Cassie said with her face facing the sun.

"Just think we will be able to have a house above ground for a while when we cross the ocean."

"Oh Dad that would be wonderful." She stopped. Paddy put his cup down.

"Here we go again." Cassie's eyes turned black then she started to shimmer.

I moved away to give her some room.

I watched her as she flashed from animal to animal. She had not finish shifting into one animal before she started shifting into another one.

I brushed back her hair.

"I feel so tired." She whispered.

"I wonder why?" Paddy chuckled.

"If you do not mind. I would like to stay here for awhile." Cassie closed her eyes.

"Go right ahead." I ran into the hut and brought out a blanket for her. I covered her up. "Momma?" She sat up suddenly. "You are here." She gave me a hug.

I did not say anything. I understood about her memory.

I held her for a little while. She snuggled into me. Paddy smiled. She was purring.

He sat beside me caressing her hair.

"This will not last long. She is progressing extremely fast." He leaned closer to me. We kissed.
