"Do you know whose hut this was?"
"My Aunt Shannon, she lived here with her mate before he died."
"I did not know she had a mate."
"He was a mortal. He had dealings with the village. They met, fell in love, lived together until he died of old age. I think if she knew a vampire back then they would have turned him."
"She has never been with anyone else?"
"Not that I know of but she lives in Norway. It is hard to keep track of her."
"It is going to be even harder once we have moved across the ocean."
"It certainty will." He looked a little sad.
"Did Quinn attack you when he was going through his 'hell'?"
"Yes." Paddy did not look at me. He laid down on the pallet.
"How bad?"
"Bad. It took an entire day for me to heal. Cassie's attacks have been mild in comparison."
"Mild?" I snuggled into him.
"Yes mild but then I was here by myself with Quinn. He took all his rage out on me. Cassie has had the two of us."
"Do you think she has attack Samuel?"
"Perhaps. He does heal fast, you know?"
"This is true." He kissed me. "Changing the subject?" He smiled. We kissed and made love.
We snuggled under the blankets.
"Have you noticed that Cassie is always surprised to see me?"
"Yes." I kissed his neck and down his chest. I found his nipple and kissed it. He moaned.
"I wonder why? She is always surprised to see you when she wakes up."
I rolled on top of him. We made love again.
"Did you stay in your father's hut when you were here with Quinn?"
"No. I stayed here with him." He told me.
"Why did we not stay here?"
"There was more room in the other hut." He looked at me curiously. "Why?'
"Well when I came in I could feel something different in here then in the other hut."
"I felt it too." He sat up.
"What?"
"I think Cassie is picking up my grandparents behaviour from their hut."
"You think that could be it?"
"It would explain why she is surprised to see you all the time."
"You could be right."
He jumped out of bed. "I will be right back."
"Make a spot for Samuel and Cassie."
"All right."
He was not gone for very long. He had packed up all the food and carried it over.
