the pillar meeting was today where the master of the demon slayer corps would address the passing of the flame pillar and the introduction of a valuable asset to the corps.

y/n decided to look natural and adorn herself in a (kimono of choice). her hair (insert hair style) and the girl was a nervous wreck. she would be meeting so many people at once. she swore that she was going to combust.

she was waiting behind the doors until she heard her cue to enter the room. the air was thick and dense. y/n could feel it practically creeping up behind her. she knew that the hashiras were intense but it didn't hit her until now.

"now i would like to introduce you to a valuable member of the corps. please do treat her nicely, she is a little shy."
with a small exhale, the two kids pushed the sliding door and y/n walked out of it with grace.

the pillars watched intently and they swore that they held their breath at that moment when the girl revealed herself.

she's beautiful. was all they could think about.

on the other side of the paradise, y/n's hands were clammy. her thoughts wouldn't generate right.

what do i do? what do i do? what do i do?
she took a seat beside kagaya who senses her uncomfortableness.

"it's alright y/n, you can do this."
kagaya said softly, just for her to hear. but of course, the sound pillar had managed to catch it. with a small shaky nod, y/n mustered her courage.

"h-hello... i'm l/n y/n. the trainer of the kasugai crows. i can... communicate with animals."
during her whole speech, she was looking at giyu for some sort of comfort and it did.

giyu was looking at the girl with a soft expression, cheering her on silently.

y/n took a breath in and awaited for their response.

almost immediately, the hashiras bowed down, their foreheads touching the stone floor. that startled the poor girl who didn't know what to do.

bringing her hands out to stop them, she called out frantically.
"you don't have to bow down! i-um it's weird... and my age is really close to most of you so its weird to show me such formalities."

the pillars looked at the girl and went back to their positions. kagaya took this as a cue to leave the girl in the hands of the hashiras. he knew that they would protect her with their lives. 

"my cute little children, i hope you will protect y/n since she is very dear to me and the demon slayer corps. no other member poses the ability to train and communicate with the crows efficiently."
kagaya smiled and patted y/n's head.

"as you wish, oyakata-sama."
the pillar as replied in unison. y/n was surprised at their replies and that made her wonder if they had already practiced it beforehand.

with that, kagaya got his children to escort him out of the room, leaving the girl behind.

y/n looked around in nervousness. her eyes darting from gyomei and then giyu and then back to gyomei.

what do i do?...
she thought to herself.

"lady l/n, how old are you?"
the serpent pillar asked curiously. his heterochromic eyes looked at her, observing her behaviour intently. most of the pillars were sceptical of her presence. 

"iguro-san! you shouldn't ask a women her age!"
the love pillar mitsuri kanjori replied although she was also curious of her age.

"that is not flamboyant at all!"
uzui commented.

"its alright! i'm turning 19 this year."
y/n dismissed those comments and replied.

she's so cute! i should invite her to eat the sakura mochis down the street!
mitsuri thought to herself, already liking the girl.

i should ask her to be my fourth wife!
uzui agreed with his own thought.

who is she again?... 
muichiro wondered, looking at the odd girl.

"lady l/n, why are we aware of your existence now?"
sanemi asked, unable to comprehend just why was she only introduced to them now. the pillars nodded and hummed in agreement.

"supposedly, no one was to know about my existence expect for the ubayashiki family and gyomei." as if on cue, the whole of the hashiras looked at the giant pillar who was chanting a prayer for y/n. 

"but kagaya and i agreed that it's time for me to reveal my presence because the imminent war with the demons. it would be dangerous for me to rely on gyomei only."
y/n explained and the pillar understood the reasoning.

"that being said... i hope that i can be your friend!"
y/n bowed while shutting her eyes. she was scared that the hashiras would laugh at her and just do their duty to protect her. but she was proved wrong.

"of course lady l/n!"
mitsuri smiled at her, a flowery aura around her.

"i flamboyantly accept!"
uzui crossed his arms and had sparkles around him with a bright smile. 

"tch. i'm out of here."
sanemi stated, about to leave the meeting.

"are you sure you want to do that shinazugawa-san?"
shinobu had an irk mark on her forehead. sanemi looked away and scoffed, staying instead.

"we should all get dinner together!"
mitsuri suggested, clapping her hands together.

"that is a great idea, kanroji-san. namu amida butsu."
gyomei replied, tears falling down like a riverfall.

dinner with the hashiras..!
y/n was freaking out in her head. she was beyond excited at the idea.

"let's all go! i know of a great place for ramen!"
mitsuri grabbed her sword and showed the way.

y/n went down to the ground level. she was going to follow the group behind and watch them interact. just then, a pillar that had yet to say anything, finally did.

"how are you, lady l/n?"
his voice was calm and soothing to the girl.

"hello tomioka-san, i'm a little nervous but i'm excited!"
