TIME SKIP, TWO MONTHS LATER. SWORDSMITH VILLAGE ARC

"CAW! CAW! LADY Y/N! GREAT NEWS!"
tsuki flew in circles on top of y/n who w as doing the laundry early in the morning. the sun would be rising and the wind direction was telling her that there would not be any rain.

"UPPER MOON 4 AND 5 WERE DEFEATED BY THE MIST PILLAR, LOVE PILLAR, KAMADO TANJIRO AND KAMADO NEZUKO."
upon hearing the astounding news, y/n had accidentally dropped the bucket of cold water that she was holding onto. the chilling water scattered and spilt onto the ground as y/n gasped at her actions.

two upper moons were killed... what would be kibutsuji muzan's next move? are the kids safe? how are the pillars? are they injured severely?

y/n abandoned her laundry and immediately went to the ubuyashiki estate alone. tsuki, shocked at the fact that her master was descending the mountain alone in the morning. of course there was no demons that would venture out in sunlight. however, there were still dangers lurking around.

"tsuki, please inform the ubuyashiki estate that i am visiting."
tsuki flew even faster to inform the leader of the demon slayer corps on y/n's arrival. on the way there, tsuki had spotted the hot-headed wind pillar, training.

being the scheming and playful crow she is, tsuki informed the wind pillar on y/n heading towards the ubuyashiki's estate and asked for his assistance. the crow made it seem as though y/n was brimming with helplessness to make the white haired man more fuelled up.

"shinazugawa-san?"
y/n voiced out, confused as to why he was beside y/n with a scowl on his face.

"your crow informed me that you're going to oyakata-sama's estate."
y/n let out a small sigh at her crow's antiques.

"my apologies for troubling you."
y/n bowed down a little. sanemi brushed it away. the two fell into another silence, one with awkwardness. the leaves rustled onto the ground as the two stepped on it. the wind picked up in motion, stands of h/c hair flew in accordance to the wind direction.

sanemi took notice of this and couldn't help but think of her as breath taking. it was as if she was sucking away his life force with her presence.

she's absolutely gorgeous. was all that he could think about. oi idiot! stop thinking about that! sanemi mentally scolded himself before bashing his head against a tree.... quite literally.

startled, y/n rushed over to the wind pillar who looked unscathed but the fact that he just bashed his head against a tree made y/n worried.

"shinazugawa-san! why did y-- are you alright?"
concerned, y/n inched closer to sanemi's face, looking for any visible injuries. her eyelashes fluttering up and down each time she blinked.

immediately, heat rose to sanemi's ears, tinting it a rosy red. his white locks of hair barely covering his frenzied self.

fuck... she's too close to me.
the man thought. his eyes widening just a bit of a fraction as he gritted his teeth to compose himself. he could feel y/n's breath dusting across his face. she was impossibly close to the wind pillar yet y/n was only concerned for his well-being. the whiff of y/n's shampoo engulfed him whole.

it made him insane.

sanemi was a hot mess at y/n's composure and her actions.

letting out a low gruff, he swatted y/n away. y/n, thoroughly confused, took it as he was fine. the man walked away, continuing the trip down the mountain. y/n followed closely behind. she didn't know why sanemi had made that sudden movement. he was a confusing man in her opinin.

"shinazugawa-san, are the hashiras free during the autumn festival?"
y/n wanted to spend time with the hashiras, especially the love pillar. the two had been sending letters frequently. mitsuri wanted to go to a mochi place with y/n after her sword had been adjusted.

the two girls clicked really well. their conversation topics were everlasting, it never seems to run out. y/n was looking forward for the get together since she never really spent time outside of her estate.

imagining the autumn festival, it made y/n's heart swell. she really wanted to go to the autumn festival. she wanted to celebrate tsukimi and go moon watching with her friends and love ones. it was a mere dream of hers but now, it may actually be a reality.

"some are available."
sanemi replied in a low voice.

"what about you?"
y/n asked casually.

"har? obviously i'll be killing demons."
sanemi stated the obvious.

in deep thoughts, y/n decided that she would be writing letters to the hashiras to celebrate tsukimi together if they were free from work.

shortly, the two reached the ubuyashiki estate. they bid short goodbyes as sanemi would be escorting her up the mountain. he had place the responsibility on himself and would make sure that y/n would return baack to her home unharmed. as y/n entered the room where kagaya was resting in, sanemi immediately slapped his face and hit his head against a wall.

kiriya who was watching over the wind pillar, was anxious as he just witness sanemi hurting himself by attacking a tree quite comedically. the kid didn't know how to respond and decided to leave him alone.

this woman is going to be the death of me.
