AUTUMN FESTIVAL.

y/n had decided to doll herself up with the help of mitsuri. the girl dressed herself up in (kimono of choice). the soft material caressing her skin and providing her warmth in the rather chilly autumn weather.

her hair was done with the aid of the love pillar. mitsuri experimented with different styles of braids on her hair and they finally settled at the hairstyle y/n favoured the most. mitsuri dressed herself with a gorgeous sakura designed kimono with green fading at the sleeved and ends. it matched her hair and eyes perfectly.

the love pillar's mind was flooding with thoughts, ranging from the snake pillar, iguro obanai to what she would eat later.

she had decided to visit y/n before the festival and to meet iguro at the festival. despite wearing the beautiful and elegant kimono, she had kept her unique nichirin blade with her for protective measures.

"is this alright?..."
y/n softly asked, pressing her lips on a piece of red paper. her lips now full of colour. the make up on her was natural and quite minimal since mitsuri insisted that she should let her natural beauty shine through.

"kyaa~! you're so cute y/n-chan!"
mitsuri fangirled, gushing over y/n's beauty. a light blush dusted y/n's cheeks as mitsuri drowned her in compliments. the girl complimented her back and that was when the two heard the door knock.

soon after, several crows flew in through the windows squawking in enthusiasm.

"KAW! KAW! LADY Y/NNNNNNNN!"

"LADY L/N!!!!!!"

"KAW! Y/N!!!!!!!!!"

"TOMIOKA-SAMA IS HERE!!!!!"

"NOOO! I WANTED TO SAY IT FIRST! KAW!"

"TOO BAD! PWHAHAHAHA"

y/n sweat dropped at her crows' behaviour. she was confused as to why the water pilalr was here when they were all supposed to meet at the autumn festival. mitsuri trailed behind y/n, brimming with excitement to see how they would interact. nervousness crept on y/n as she opened the door to see giyu dressed in his demon slayer uniform with his haori draping over him.

"good evening, giyu."
y/n couldn't help but smile at the presence of the water pillar. giyu blinked. his blue eyes reflected y/n's beauty. it was surreal to him.

BA-DUMP.

words couldn't be formed. he was at loss for words. utterly speechless.

mitsuri on the other hand was squealing internally at the cute interaction. tomioka-san should be at loss for words after seeing y/n-chan. wahh!! this is so cute! the love pillar thought to herself.

y/n thought that she had said something wrong because the water pillar didn't reply to her greeting.

"giyu?..."
y/n trailed off, different ideas formulating in her head as to why giyu wouldn't reply to her.

"my... apologies."
giyu gulped before properly replying.

"good evening y/n and kanroji-san."
giyu bowed slightly, glancing at the love pillar who was fangirling at the sidelines.

"my apologies for showing up unannounced..."
y/n shook her head and led the water pillar in her estate like the old times.

"it's fine! we're heading out soon. did you just come back from a mission?"
y/n questioned, seeing that his outfit was a little dusted.

giyu nodded, following the two girls as they got their pouches of coins. the water pillar had just finished his patrol and got to the l/n estate when he was done. he had wasted no time since he wanted to enjoy the festival with y/n and the available hashiras.

the walk there was enjoyable. the weather being chilly but not too cold to freeze one to death. sunlight peeking through the hazy clouds. mitsuri being the extroverted one and making conversation topics with y/n and giyu. y/n replying and smiling on while giyu only added small comments or answering to questions when needed.

she is absolutely breathtaking in giyu's opinion. he tried to contain his feelings but it grown undeniably out of control. behind his cool facade, he was internally freaking out.

the trio reached the location whereby uzui was pestering obanai.

"iguro-san!"
mitsuri ran up to obanai with a wide small, pink dusted her cheeks. obanai greeted the girl back and uzui and his wives then greeted the group. muichiro looked around cluelessly since he had never been to a festival. memories with him and his twin filled his head. he felt like a new person with the regaining of his memory.

y/n and giyu stood side by side as they greeted the other hashiras and the wives of uzui.

"good evening tokito-san."
y/n greeted the curious mist pillar who wanted to explore around the festival. despite being such a strong pillar, he was merely just a 14 year old boy.

"hello... l/n-san."
muichiro greeted back. the two didn't have much interaction in the past since the mist pillar always had forgotten the crow trainer. however, the situation now was different as he could now remember.

a sort of fondness overwhelmed y/n. a 14 year old who had attained the position of a pillar was willing to fight for humanity with his life.

"you can call me by my first name, i don't really do formalities."
y/n gave him an encouraging smile.

"y/n-san?... y/n."
muichiro softly whispered beneath his breath. y/n nodded her head, her eyes practically sparkling at how endearing the boy was.

"my first name is muichiro..."
the boy said, giving the signal for y/n to call him by his first name.

"is this your first time at the festival, muichiro-kun?"
y/n asked, taking a concerned glance at giyu who was getting pestered by uzui.

muichiro nodded a reply. y/n continued, "this is my first time too."

"really?"
muichiro asked. he expected y/n to be a regular at festivals but it seemed that he was wrong.

"mm! really!"
y/n took in the bustling atmosphere of the festival. the bright lanterns illuminating the area with an abundance of stalls for people to enjoy. the mix aromas of different delicacies and the cacophony of stall owners promoting their food. it was truly a vibrant atmosphere that y/n couldn't wait to dwell in.

"let's try lots of yummy food together!"
y/n enthused, getting all thrilled up to try all the kinds of food. mitsuri had hyped up the food and now y/n couldn't wait.

muichiro nodded with a little excitement. with y/n's words, he was looking forward to the festival.

"y.../n... please help me..."
y/n could hear giyu calling her out. concerned, y/n went over to the water pillar who was borderline being harassed and dissed by uzui for him not being 'flamboyant'. not to mention he was being held on chokehold playfully by the single arm of the former sound pillar.

"uzui-san!"
y/n exclaimed in shock at the situation. mitsuri was currently chatting with obanai. suma and makio were arguing while hinatsuru was trying to calm them down. finally uzui, the eccentric individual was shouting at giyu about his un-flashiness.

"great timing l/n-san!"
sparkles appeared around uzui as he explained his current predicament on giyu. y/n sweat dropped at his explanation. after finally putting giyu down, the man looked like he had been through war and back with a pale expression on his face.

"are you alright, giyu?"
y/n asked, worry laced in her voice. giyu gave a singular nod and stood far away from uzui. lightly, y/n placed her hand on giyu's head, giving him a reassuring pat.

it was a small gesture but the two could feel their hearts at their throat. butterflies swarming all around and flowers blossoming in their stomach.

"let's enjoy the festival together!"
y/n gave him a smile that almost made his heart stop.

i can't stop my heart from beating so fast... the water pillar thought. her smile replaying in his head like an old record. he wanted to keep that smile on her face.

i'm think i'm falling...
