"tch where the fuck is that upper moon?!"
sanemi was getting pissed off at only defeating two weak demons. 

"sorai, did you locate any demons?" 
the man asked his crow who had already flew and investigated the area twice, there were no signs of other demons. 

"KAW! NO SHINAZUGAWA-SAMA! NO! NICHIRIN BLADES FURTHER UPWARDS!"
sorai, who was one of the fastest crow that y/n had trained, reported. upon hearing those words, the two sprinted up the mountain to investigate the nichirin blade that sorai had mention. 

kanzaburo was no where to be seen, giyu had allow it to scout the area for any clues. the old crows was flying around aimlessly in search of new sightings. 

a few minutes later, the two finally found the nichirin blades that sorai was taking about. if the blades are here, there is a high likelihood that the slayers wielding it are dead. giyu thought to himself. leaving the blades on the floor for the kakushis to pick them up, giyu glanced at the hot-headed wind pillar. 

four tiring hours had passed and they had only face two demons, incredibly weak. it angered the wind pillar. he wanted a real fight, not some half assed fight with over confident demons. 

"KAW! TOMIOKA-SAMA! NO DEMONS! NO BODIES! NOTHING! NOTHING!"
kanzaburo returned with a sweat droplet on its head. it had been flying for the past four hours and there were no signs of any demons lurking. 

the bodies of the crows were found and they had only discovered 3 nichirin blades. no human bodies were found and they could only assume that they were eaten by the demons. this whole entire situation was confusing. from the intel that sanemi and giyu had, crows and slayers went missing due to the upper moon. the goal was to find the upper moon and slay it. they couldn't even get to the first step-- it was infuriating. 

the upper moons have high intelligence and heightened senses, it could have sensed that we were entering the mountain or they could be toying with us. giyu thoughts gathered, trying to find the link. 

just as giyu was thinking and sanemi was throwing a fit, an unknown crow flew up to them, loudly squawking. 

"KAW! UPPER MOON 6 HAVE BEEN KILLED BY SOUND PILLAR, UZUI TENGEN! KAW! UPPER MOON 6 KILLED! KAW!" 
the news shocked the pillars. the loud sound pillar had defeated an upper moon and yet, the two couldn't even find an upper moon. 

"tch. why did that stupid asshole get to kill an upper moon." 
sanemi grunted and headed in the opposite direction-- he was going to descend the mountain. 

it was the only logical answer since in the back of their mind, the upper moon had fled away. 

as they descended the mountain, sanemi remembered the words of the kasugai crow trainer.

"lady l/n wants to have a meal after the mission." 
at the mention of the girl, giyu sunk his hands into his pockets to find the gift that he had failed to give to y/n. the gift was a spur of the moment, he didn't exactly know why he had purchased it and thought of it as a 'thank you' present. the man only nodded, making sanemi pissed off about his quietness. 

by the time they reached the head quarters of the demon slayer corps, it would have been sunrise. sanemi couldn't keep his cool and wanted to head back to report their findings and call it a day. giyu followed his stead, walking through the streets of asakusa. 

they encountered numerous low classed demons on the way since it was still night time. the two coordinated well. although there were big communication errors here and there, giyu let sanemi have his way since he didn't want to deal with his temper. sanemi's distaste with giyu grew even more as he threw more insults towards him. the silent water pillar didn't understand why his comrade was verbally assaulting him. 

the water pillar however, was anticipating the meal that he could share with y/n.
