eyes cerulean like the vast blue sky with a same, empty stoic expression. he was not the one to show much emotions. often blunt and honest. his hair tied into a low ponytail to tame his hair. the mismatched haori that he wears holds memories that anchors in his mind like a strong old tree, deeply rooted. the roots of it were never ending because it would always go back to him.

the man had just finished another mission and received the news of his deceased comrade. as a form of respect, he wanted to visit his grave.

but little did he know, he would stumble upon a strange girl, comforting a kasugai crow.

right then, the girl stood up with the crow perched on its shoulder. she turned back and saw the unexpected.

piercing blue eyes like the ocean were staring right at her. she was surprised at the presence of the man and hence was clueless on what to do.

just then, she spotted and old, familiar crow on the man's shoulder. kanzaburo? she thought to herself.

this man... kanzaburo has a bad memory since he's old. he sticks with tomioka giyu. wait a minute... he is the water pillar! she exclaimed to herself.

"i'm very sorry that i am in your way!"
the girl bowed frantically. this was the first time she had human interaction with people other than the ubayashiki family and gyomei.

what a killer for first impressions. she thought to herself.

"it's... alright."
the man replied with an indifferent tone.

"that person! kaw! lady y/n!"
kanzaburo yelled, flying to the girl in happiness. giyu looked at his crow in confusion. since the bird was a forgetful bird, he was surprised that it managed to remember something. at the same time, how did his crow know the girl in front of him when he has never met her in his life?

y/n didn't know how to respond. if she greeted kanzaburo, the water pillar would be even more suspicious of her. if she acted dumb and faked not knowing kanzaburo, she would be really sad and heartbroken like the bird.

what do i do? y/n asked herself. kanzaburo seemed to be so full of life and energy at the sight of its trainer. he thought that he would never see her again but was proved wrong at the situation.

why is lady y/n not replying me? did i do something wrong? the crow thought, flying mid air at y/n. the girl heard the crow's thoughts clearly and sucked in a breath. her ability included her being able to read and listen to animal's thoughts. 

"greetings lady y/n, oyakata-sama would like to see you" kiriya and kanata bowed in respect. y/n heaved a sigh of relief— she was saved!

the girl hurried over to the two child that would escort her back to the room where kagaya and amane was.

"tomioka-sama, oyakata-sama would like too see you after that." kirirya voiced out and bowed again. giyuu nodded and kept his thoughts to himself.

who is this girl?
