the water pillar unknowingly fell into a deep slumber. the warmth of the futon made him sleep comfortably. the flapping of their wings accompanied by the squawking of the crows became a distant background sound. giyu was completely dead asleep.

y/n wanted to wake him up for breakfast but decided not to since she concluded that he needed good sleep. she had knocked on the door twice before sliding open the door when there was no response. a calm expression on the tense water pillar befell as he laid on the futon, enjoying the warmth of it.

y/n took in his ethereal facial features, sharp yet so delicate. his hair in an unruly mess and his lightly tanned skin glistened under the shower of sunlight.

quietly, y/n shut the doors and decided to do training with the crows at the backyard where minimal sound travelled. she allowed the 5 crows to rest after being a key messenger for the defeat of the upper moon 6.

from kanzaburo, news got across to her when he reported to the trainer of the water pillar's schedule. he would be having the day off and the next day, he need to get back to asakusa for patrol. y/n decided to allow the man wake up naturally since it had been an exhausting night.

food could be prepared and kept away before reheating anyways.

in peace, the sun rose with the warm sunlight bouncing of y/n. her cheeks full of colour as a small smile arose on her face; her crows were improving at a rapid pace. there were a few shy ones but they were slowly getting out of their shells and trying their very best for become a gull-fledged kasugai crow.

in the midst of training, tsuki went by y/n's shoulders and nudged her owner.

"yes tsuki?"
the girl asked, questioning her actions.

"oyakata-sama would like you to visit the ubuyashiki estate in the evening."
the words of the crow intrigued y/n. her guess of the conversation topic would be the defeat of the upper moon and likely about the joint mission giyu and the wind pillar, sanemi had.

she did not receive news that they had defeated an upper moon, nor did she see the hot-headed sanemi anywhere. i did say that he was invited... y/n thought to herself, making it a mental note to ask giyu when he awakes from his slumber.

the water pillar had forgotten that he was residing in the l/n estate. he woke up, in a completely different room when compared to his room in the water estate. he took in his surroundings and finally made sense of it.

i'm currently in y/n's estate...
he thought to himself before tidying the futon and sliding the door open to find the crow trainer. giyu walked around the house and was unable to find the girl. he didn't dare to open any doors to not invade her privacy. as he reached the first floor, the squawking of the crows were heard with y/n praising the crow.

gently, giyu closed the door that led to the back yard. he was silently observing the girl in action, taking in her features as she instructed the crows. the crows all noticed the presence of the water pillar and wanted to convey that message to their owner but all decided not to. if giyu wanted to reveal his presence, he would.

however, y/n having the ability to read animals' thoughts, knew that the water pillar was behind her.

turning around, a bright smile on her face, she greeted him.

"hello giyu."
with a wave, she paused training and headed to the said man who was shocked at how she knew that he was there. he didn't bother questioning it since he wasn't one with much words. giyu nodded in acknowledgement. the crow trainer clapped her hands to signal for a break and followed giyu in to her estate for a heart warming lunch.

the birds were enthralled to know that they could get a break from all the flight. the training was more strenuous for them but the crows didn't complain. they wanted to work for the demon slayer corps as fast as possible.

the great battle was coming very soon and the corps needs as much help as they can get.
