TIMESKIP, HASHIRA TRAINING ARC.

after receiving the small gift from the water pillar, y/n had decided to make use of it. incorporating it in her hairstyle, y/n was forever thankful to giyu for purchasing it.

the hashiras and the lower rank demon slayers were now training for the final clash. after the known presence of the demon slayer mark, the demon slayers are doing their best to reach their maximum potential and beyond.

y/n was focuses on training her crows. their 'final selection' was in fact today. as the worried mother she was, y/n was anxious to know how her crows would be doing. the test would start in an hours time and was too little time left. y/n briefed her crows on how the procedure would go and yet she was unsettled.

it test would span over 10 days. 10 long days of sending messages and returning them. it would be all across japan and the l/n estate would be the heart of the test. where all the crows would ultimately reside in after the test. kagaya and amane would usually be with y/n during the 10 days. however due to kagaya's decline in health, he could no longer accompany y/n.

tsuki in the meanwhile would be given the chance to take part in the test for just pleasure. she was quite the astounding crow due to her love for flight.

y/n let out an exhale as she observed all 73 crows that were resting. she had decided to allow them to rest before the test.

when the time struck 12 noon. y/n did one final countdown of the numbers. right then, the test have started.

each crow had messages attached to them to convey the message to the working crows of the demon slayer corps. they would then have to send more messages given by the participating kakushis. they would not be able to rest in the l/n estate and instead rest outdoors, in the wilderness where demons were on rampage.

"the test will now start."
y/n exhaled, looking at her crows that soared the bright azure sky with grace and speed.

"SEE YOU LADY L/N!!!"

"KAW! SEE YOU SOON LADY Y/N!"

"I'LL MISS YOU LADY L/N!"

the crows all squawked their goodbyes to their trainer and mother figure who had been nothing but kind hearted to them. y/n held back her tears, keeping them at bay. why am i getting emotional?... y/n asked herself.

shiro had been walking circles around y/n as he tried to get her attention for cuddles. y/n however, didn't notice since she was drowning herself in a sea of thoughts by her crows.

"KAW! SEE YOU LADY Y/N!"
tsuki then took off, flying with delight.

"mm, see you too tsuki."
y/n waved at her crow as she head north.

mamaaaaaaa...
shiro whined. he was on his fifth round of circling y/n.

he had finally grasp the attention of the focused crow trainer. picking up the lazy white cat with ease, y/n adjusted her grip on shiro.

it's that time of the year right?
shiro meowed at her, his words translated in her brain. y/n nodded a reply.

"i hope that they would all come back safely."
y/n replied, giving a silent prayer.

just then, the hashiras have decided to pay y/n a visit during their break time. they were taking a break from tormenting the lower rank slayers and dissing them. the first one to appear was gyomei who had a ginger cat on his shoulders.

sukiiii!!!!
shiro jumped out of y/n's hands and shouted for the female cat.

shiro?
the ginger cat replied, jumping down from gyomei's shoulders. the two had a whole playful cat fight and then a cuddling session when they entered the l/n estate.

"hello lady y/n."
gyomei greeted with a bow.

"hi gyomei!"
y/n gave gyomei a small hug.

"are the crows in their final selection test?"
gyomei asked. y/n nodded replied, "the test just started."

tears ran down gyomei's eyes as he prayed for the crows' wellbeing. right then, the other hashiras came into view.

sanemi had a irreplaceable scowl on his face as his eyes darted left and right at the pathway. muichiro followed behind sanemi while mitsuri was trying to make small talks with muichiro who did his very best to reply to the enthusiastic love pillar.

uzui and obanai were the only ones who were missing from the group.

shinobu was currently teasing giyu non-stop while the man was trying to defend himself.

y/n was quite surprised at the hashira's visit. the crow trainer didn't have anything prepared for them and to cook such a large sum of food in such a short amount of time.

"y/n-chan!!"
mitsuri greeted with a wide smile. muichiro following her by greeting her too, "y/n-nee."

"hi mitsuri-chan, muichiro-kun!"
y/n waved at the two. mitsuri ran up to y/n and engulfed her in a tight hug. y/n felt all air escaping from her lungs as she struggled.

"kanroji-san, i don't think y/n-nee can breath."
muichiro pointed out.

"aah! i'm so sorry y/n-chan!"

"i-it's alright..."
y/n inhaled sharply.

giyu took notice of y/n's hairstyle. the hairpin that he had bought decorating her hair. he could quite literally feel that his heart was getting warm. the tiniest smile appeared on his face.

"ara~ tomioka-san, what have gotten you smiling?"
shinobu asked, right after which she had greeted y/n.

"nothing."
giyu replied stoically. he could feel a hole appearing his heart when he had replied.

"ehhh? are you sure tomioka-san-- you shouldn't lie y'know?"
shinobu teased. mitsuri had told the insect pillar all about the tea between y/n and giyu.

"giyu!"
y/n said and gave a meek wave at the water pillar.

the smile had resurfaced again.

"hello y/n."
