It was a quiet evening like literally every evening for the last 6 months.
Since then you were working for Cora as a nanny for her baby.
At first you were coming to her only in the mornings or afternoons when she was working but since 2 months you were also working over night and in the evenings since Cora was often going out.

The problem to you wasn't her going out, it was her company that made you jealous.
You didn't know Cora for long but still you fell for her and Cora constantly going out and partying with Ellen, broke your heart.

"Y/n I'm off now" Cora walks into the living room where you were with her son.
"Bye my little prince." She kisses his forehead.
"Are you sure you want to go out again today?" She frowns.

"I mean- yes why not? What's your problem with it?" You shake you head. "Nothing...is Ellen going to be with you?" Cora nods.
"Okay..." you sigh. "Have fun." You say coldly and walk off into the kitchen but she walks after you.
"Y/n what's wrong?"
"Nothing as I already said." You turn away from her and look outside.
"Do you think that I don't take enough care of my child? That I'm away too often?"

"No Cora, I don't think that. Everything's fine okay? Just leave it be and go out."
"Fine" she says annoyed and storms out, slamming the door.
You let out a breath while a tear rolls down your cheek.
You had no right to be mad at her. She was a very caring mother, even though she was young and liked to party.
You wiped your tear away and walked back to Sam.

Time skip

It was now 11 PM. Cora was out for 3 hours now. Sam was sleeping deeply in his room and you sat in the living room with a glass of wine. Crying. Again.

It was too much for you over the last weeks. Cora always seemed so happy when she was talking about Ellen or meeting up with her.
When she was talking to you, she was normally friendly. The way of friendly, you are in a small talk.

It was only then when someone knocked on the front door.
You pulled yourself together and opened up the door.
You saw Ellen with Cora in her arms, what made your blood boil.
"Hey Y/n, I'm Ellen you know?"
You nod.
"Is she okay?" You ask worried about Cora.
"Heyyyyyy...." she giggles.
"Yes she just drank way too much. I don't know either, normally she never drinks that much and not in that short amount of time. But she seemed different today, stressed or sad, I don't know."

"No, it's alright. Thank you for bringing her." Ellen nods and walks off while you hold Cora tightly so she doesn't fall.
"Y/nnnn..."

"Yeah I know, come on I'll help you." Carefully you help her into the bedroom and take off her shoes.
Cora immediately falls into her bed, but before you could walk out, you heard her mumble something.
"Y/n...Ellen I love her" You bite your lip.
'She loves Ellen, okay' you think to yourself.
You place a bucket next to her bed and put a glass of water with some painkillers on the nightstand.
After that, you walk out and into your bedroom, well basically the guest room, but since you often stayed over night, it was now yours.

The next morning

It was 9 AM right now and you were in the kitchen, feeding Sam.
Luckily it was Sunday today, so Cora didn't have to work.
"Is this good? Yes?" Sam brambled and you giggled at how adorable he is.

A bit later you heard footsteps and soon after, Cora walked into the kitchen.

"Good Morning Y/n"
"Morning" you say, without turning towards her.

"Thanks for the medicine and the water." You nod. "No problem. Do you remember anything of yesterday?"
"Yeah I remember and I'm really sorry for being so drunk. I don't know how it happened." She chuckled.

"It's okay. Happens sometimes." You get back to feeding Sam.
"Hello my little boy." Cora kisses his head.

"What's wrong?" She asks putting her hands on her hips.
"Nothing." You clean up Sam and put him into the living room into his play corner before you clean up the kitchen.
"Y/n?" Cora grabs your arm.
"Everything's fine! I already told you yesterday now let me work."

She steps directly into your way.
"I won't let you be until you tell me what's going on. Because if it's nothing then you wouldn't avoid me nor act like this!"
You sigh.
"What do you want to hear huh?"
You look at her.
"That I am jealous because of Ellen? That I hate how much time you spend with her, that I- I want to be the one taking care of you and not her? That I hate the fact  that you love her and not me?THAT I FUCKING LOVE YOU? WHAT IS IT WHAT DO YOU WANT TO HEAR?"
You scream with tears in your eyes before turning back to the table.
"Y/n..." she mumbles.
"Y/n please look at me."
You shake your head, avoiding her.
"No it's, I shouldn't have said that. I'm sorry I-" she grabs you and turns you around, packing both of your arms and deeply kissing you.
At first you didn't know how to react but after a few seconds, you kiss back.
Moving your lips with hers, your hands clung to her waist.

When she pulled away you smiled like an idiot.
"What I- I don't understand."
"What I said last night, was a sentence meant for Ellen, but it was related to you. I love you Y/n...I have since you started working."
"Well I love you too as already said" you both giggled.
"How about we go play with Sam now and then we just have a chill day hm?"
You nod and kiss her cheek before you walk out of the kitchen, hand in hand......
