Song: Sweet Tooth- Scott Helman

The usual small cramped street was now barren. Vender stalls temporarily abandoned, the constant chatter silent, and the strong fish smell as fishy as ever.

You let out a huff as your phone rang, balancing it on your shoulder while plugging your nose. "Hello?"

"Why do you sound so nasally?" Gojo questioned with amusement.

"I'm at a seafood market and-bleh-"

"Did you just throw up?"

"I just-I just gagged. I can taste it in the air." You gagged again before parting curtains, the building covered with tunas on the floor. "I swear if you called for something dumb I'll stick one of these tunas in your pillow.

"Oh right! Something has come up. There's this boy in the schools custody. Apparently there have been a few incidents with non sorcerers and the last one was pretty bad." Gojo explained lazily.

"Eh?" You leaned back with a hand on your hip. "How old? On purpose?"

"16 and no. He beat up two sorcerers pretty good too. He's cursed, actually." You spotted the curse, a tuna head with seven eyes and talking randomly to itself. While Gojo continued you twisted it with cursed energy until it tore apart. "They took him into custody a few hours ago. The higher ups called me back to kill him since apparently no one else has been able to. He consented to it."

"He doesn't even really know what's going on huh?" You sighed, though it turned into one last gag before rushing away from the market. "You want me back?"

"I'm still across the country so, if you don't mind. Just keep an eye on him, make sure they don't take advantage. I'll take care of the old bastards when I get back."

"Nah, I'll let them know before. Otherwise we'll be bothered if he moves through the barriers. You just worry about how you're going to take care of another student."

"Are you implying I can't handle a class of four?"

"..."

Entering the schools barrier you could already sense a new cursed energy, anonymous and gross. The erie feeling was a stark contrast to the cotton candy sky.

Sheesh, he's probably off putting everyone around without even realizing.

The 'holding room' so to speak was easy to find, considering it was one of the few buildings with a separate barrier and hundreds of talismans. The main floor led to two hallways along with a staircase to the basement. "If I had to guess.." You hummed, jogging down the steps. "Tch, it's locked?" Snapping twice you summoned Ralph to knock the door down.

A scrawny boy with black hair and dark eyes perked up with a wide gaze, sitting curled up in the chair bound to the floor.

I should have come up with something to say before doing this...

"It's Yuta right?" The boy nodded with a shaky hum. "If you could come with me, we can let those higher ups know the execution is off."

"But I-I consented to it." There was desperation in his tone.

You frowned, "You're only sixteen. Sorry but...that's not a decision I can let you make just yet. You'll have help getting yourself under control by joining our school. After that, you can decide how you feel."

He buried his head in his knees, "I'm not going. I don't want to hurt anyone anymore. I'm not going outside anymore."

"Yuta. I don't know the specifics of your technique, but I do know we can help you control it and if you decide, use it to help people. Sitting in this room, dying alone, isn't something you want to do. I promise, I'll make sure you get over the fear of yourself."
