Gojo had been out all day and night.
Scratch that, all day and night for about nine days. Negotiations between other countries had almost entirely been taken care of, as well as the ones with Japan. It had been tense, he had to be sure sorcerers weren't taken advantage of, that they would remain protected. Careful statements had been crafted to feed the public, giving enough information to ease their minds without creating a panic. The American military was still particularly sour about the culling game incident, Gojo had to be sure to separate jujutsu society from the actions of Kenjaku. Even if the selfish bastards had put themselves in harms way in the first place.
Things would change now that information about curses was public. The origins of both sorcerers and curses was never clearly answered, both assumed to be some sort of supernatural phenomena. Following such catastrophic events, obviously the amount of curses increased, but now months later they were dwindling, slowly. Activity of curse users had decreased, many of them that had a big head quickly being taken care of. Now it was simply a matter of waiting for the ones in hiding to cause any trouble, if they ever got the guts to.
Ever so slightly, life was returning to normal. As much as it could, given the circumstances.
It was a nice day. The sun peeked between thin clouds, making your skin a little warmer than normal. There was a gentle breeze carrying slightly crisp, cooling air in turn. A little ways away the students were sparing, currently Maki and Yuji were going at it while the others rested from their previous turns.
Gojo came to stand beside you, small smile on his face. His hands were in his pockets, arm brushing against yours. "They don't even need us anymore."
"Don't say that." You pouted, wincing as Maki landed a hard hit on Yuji. It was her win, Yuji congratulating her before the two sat down.
Megumi and Yuta were next, and your thoughts became busy. "You know...we should probably tell Megumi about Toji."
"I've been thinking the same." Gojo admitted. "That, and he needs to decide if he'll take the position of the Zenin clan. Otherwise they'll simply go down as gross history."
It was true that there wasn't much of a Zenin clan left, and it was now up to Megumi if the name stayed apart of Jujutsu Society. He was technically already the head of the clan, but if he wasn't going to be a leader so to speak, the name would slowly fall from power.
You sighed softly as Yuta layed the other boy out, silently having been rooting for him. "Should we do it today?"
"Let them finish training first. We can do it this evening." Gojo mused as Yuji stood up to face off against Megumi. "Ooo, lets stick around for this one."

"I don't really care."
You could have guessed that would be the boys response, tone and expression included.
"What do I want to be head of the Zenin clan for? There's nothing left." Megumi shrugged.
"Doesn't matter." Gojo spoke, "You're still here, so is Maki. I'm just saying, if you want a seat at the table to have any kinda say in this society, this is your one chance to take it."
Megumi pursed his lips. It wasn't as if any part of him wanted the title, nor craved the power it would give him, but it wasn't about just him. He had people around him he wanted to protect, and he knew the title would help him do so. "What would I...have to do?"
