The moment of silence was broken by the angel, "There's an astonishing number of people entering the colony right now. Kogane! Show the number of joined players in the past minutes."

"807 players have recently joined!"

Your brows furrowed, "What the fuck?"

"Kenjaku may be planning for cursed spirits to conduct a one sided massacre of non sorcerers." Angel speculated. You stayed slightly behind as the group rushed down the stairs, listening as Angel explained her theory. Basically, if there wasn't enough cursed energy in the colony's, this massacre would provide exactly the insurance needed.

Reaching the main floor the group dunked into the cafeteria, however as you went to follow you caught movement out of the corner of your eye. The barrel of a gun poked out from a doorway, aimed where they had gone.  You quickly shut the door behind them, dodging a shot aimed for your head. You grasped the barrel, pulled forward and pushing it up and back with enough force to knock the solider out. Provoked quickly, the rest didn't wait for you to come to them, instead bursting through the door. It was to your advantage having the group of them huddled into the hall, making it difficult to get a clean shot.

Soon the last one stood on shaking legs with the muzzle of the gun between your eyes. Either in shock or frozen in fear, he didn't pull the trigger. You scoffed, ripping the gun from his grasp and hitting him over the head with it.

"Wait, where's sensei?" Yuji looked around.

"She was right..." Megumi's eyes widened as a bang echoed in the hall.

The bullet grazed your arm, forcing a grimace. The shock was quickly overcome, glaring at the soldier who shot from the floor. Kicking the weapon from his hands you pulled him up by the collar and rid of the masking gear along with any other weapons.

Megumi rushed through the door only to be stopped by a body being thrown at his feet. "Have at it." You gestured.

The looted soldier was bound and sat against a column, and it didn't take much for him to talk. Apparently, multiple governments decided to research cursed energy as an alternative energy source. Kenjaku had taken advantage of these soliders, only for them to become chow for cursed spirits.

"I was correct then, their deaths will manifest enough cursed energy to fill the colonys. That will conclude the preparation, before merging Tengen with the humans of this country." Angel said.

"How is bringing this many people into the colony even possible?" Megumi's brows furrowed.

"Kenjaku is a evil mastermind." You shrugged, "Orchestrating something like this is his livelihood."

"It's even likely that militaries from multiple countries were dragged in." Angel added.

"Lets save them." Yuji declared.

"Save the soldiers? Don't they want to kidnap us and mess with our bodies?" Joke guy alarmed.

If it ended up being decided, you would do your part in helping the normies in over their heads. But, you agreed that you weren't eager to save people willing to do such a thing.
