Ciela's POV

Paguwi ko galing sa school bumungad sa akin si tita.

"May nakita akong school na may magandang facilities ng nursing. Dun kita ieenrooll pag college mo." aniya ng nakangiti.

I just forced to smiled. "Sige po tita, thank you."

Gusto ko sabihin na ayaw ko mag nursing.

I want to tell her that I wanna pursue modeling.

Kahit na hindi ako masyadong kagandahan, gusto ko magmodel. Seeing models on the runway of a luxury brand was my dream.

I want to walk on runways and pose for the cameras. The idea of it makes my heart flutter.

Pero alam ko sa sarili ko na hindi ko 'yun maabot. Nursing kasi ang gusto ni tita na kunin ko na kurso, siya ang nagpapa aral sa akin kaya siya ang magdedecide kung ano kukunin ko.

Were family of nurses. Si mama ay isang nurse at si lola ay doctor. May mga relatives din kami na mga nurses.

Kaya ganun nalang ang pagpush ni tita sa akin na maging nurse. It's because nasa dugo na namin 'yun.

But I want to take a different path. Choose a different career. Live up with my desires and dreams.

Ngunit hanggang pangarap nalang ito.

Gusto ko magsabi kay tita na modeling ang gusto ko na ipursue pero natatakot ako na baka isipin niyang ayaw ko sumunod sa gusto niya.

Besides she knows what's best for me.

Malalim akong napabuntong hininga bago magbihis at simulan maglinis ng bahay.

Kinabukasan iaannounce ang nakakuha ng highest scores nung exam.

Everyone was very focused listening to our adviser. Including me.

The first quarter has finally ended and I still feel like a loner inside the room. Mainly because I don't want to interact with others.

Although some of my classmates include me during their free time pero minsan nahihiya ako. But still I listen to them.

"Ciela Lavelle Avila. Rank 1." everyone applauded when my name called.

I smiled at them.

I did it. I made it to rank 1.

Our teacher announced other ranks and by the time she left Joy went up to me along with Freia, Gwy, Kevin, Rose, Aizie, Jineinna, Clarisse, Ian, Ariane, and James.

They hugged me and congratulate.

"Omg congratulations! Deserved so much!!"

"Congratsss deserve mo 'yan!" they smiled at me at hindi ko mapigilang mapangiti ng malawak sa kanila.

"Thank you, guys!" I told them as we embraced ourselves with a warm hug.

During recess agad ko na pinuntahan si Nadia at Erora para ibalita sa kanila ang good news ko.

"Erora!" I called her at sabay silang napalingon sa akin.

I walked up to them wearing a bright smile.

"Rank 1 ako sa klase namin! Yey!" masayang sabi ko sa kanila.

"Talaga? Sure ka ba na rank 1? As far as I remembered mas matalino pa ako sa'yo, bat hindi ako rank 1? Baka nagcheat ka during exam?" malisyosong tanong ni Nadia na nagpatigil sa akin.

"Edi sanaol nalang." walang pakeng sabi ni Erora.

My smile instantly faded by their words.

I worked hard for it, I spent nights studying and compiled my activities and requirements in time. I know in my heart I deserved it.
