Lei's POV

["Huy pre balita ko may magaganda daw sa section niyo?"] pangungulit sa'kin ng kaibigan ko.

It was still summer break and tomorrow will be our first day.

"Paano mo nalaman?" tanong ko sa telepono.

["Wala, tinignan ko 'yung list eh."] aniya habang malakas na tumawa.

Napatakip ako sa tenga ko dahil sa sobrang lakas ng halakhak niya.

"Ingay mo." huling sabi ko bago pinatay ang tawag.

Napabuntong hininga ako bago bumagon sa higaan ng marinig ang pagtawag sa'kin ni mama.

"What is it mom?" bored na sabi ko habang nakapamulsa sa likod niya.

Nilingon niya ako bago ngumiti ng matamis.

"Lunch is ready," sabi niya.

"Si dad?" tanong ko ng hindi ko nakita si dad sa hapag.

"Oh, he's eating in a resto. That's what he said," she shrugged before seating on the table.

While eating biglaang nagsalita si mama.

"Tomorrow's your first day of school, aren't you excited?" tili niya.

"Mom, I'm not a elementary student to feel excited. Pakiramdam ko mas naeexcite pa ako gawin ang mga assignments at projects," sarkastikong sabi ko.

New school year means a new stressful year.

"Oh c'mon. Malay mo this year you'll be able to get into a relationship and finally introduce me to a girl." malisyosong aniya.

"I. will. not." seryosong sabi ko.

"You're always busy with your studies. Have some fun naman, be in a relationship!"

"I'm not into relationship, mom and you know that,"

"But still. I believe in those highschool love becoming your one greatest love. Besides you haven't even experienced a relationship," napabuntong hininga siya.

As if like being single is such a big problem.

"Just because it's how you and dad met doesn't mean it will be my same fate."

"People always swallow their words." pagpaparinig niya pa.

"I'm done," sabi ko bago tumayo at nilagpasan siya para pumunta sa kwarto ko.

"Atleast try to be in a relationship Lei! I'll support you I promise!" pahabol na sigaw pa niya.

First day of school and it felt like shit.

I didn't even felt the summer break. Damn this.

Padabog akong pumasok sa room at umupo sa pinaka huling upuan bago malakas na napabuntong hininga.

I opened my phone and scrolled something on social media when my eyes suddenly shifted to someone.

Napataas ang kilay ko ng may pumasok na babae sa loob ng room.

Umupo siya sa pinaka gilid, tabi lang ng bintana. Three row away from me.

She was just wearing a casual white t shirt and fitted jeans. With a high ponytail that made her look fresh.

I've encountered many girls as I find my way here kanina and did not even gave them a glance but what's with her that made me turn my head?

Her aura was just... something.
