Lei's POV
I was parking my car and got out when I heard something.
"If you say so. But mind walking in a distance. I don't like people looking at us thinking we have a cheap companion." that voice sounded like Nadia.
If Nadia's here then Ceila must also be here.
I fastened my pace and caught Ceila glancing at the glass mirror infront of her.
Before I could caught up pumasok na siya sa loob ng mall.
I just shrugged and find my way to Watsons.
I stared directly at the napkin section while thinking deeply.
I didn't ask what brand mama uses, ang hirap naman nito.
I tried calling her but she's not answering. Some buyers were looking at me for taking so long staring at this shelf.
Napabuntong hininga nalang ako bago kinuha lahat ng klase. Each brand for different napkins.
The cashier was also shocked. I chuckled.
Papalabas na sana ako nang may naririnig akong naguusap.
"Hey what about Ceila? Iiwan lang natin siya?"
"Just let her okay? She can find her way naman, besides I don't like her hanging out with us."
Napakunot ang noo ko nang marinig ang boses ni Nadia, I am sure she's with her other friend. Erora ata pangalan?
Wait if they're here then Ceila must be alone?!
Damn this.
Mabilis ko na tinawagan si Rai.
"[What?]" bungad niya sa'kin.
"Asan ka?"
"[At the mall, why?]"
"Pumunta ka sa labasan ng Watsons. May binili ako and take these at home. Use my car and I'll give you my key."
"[What the fuck? I'm with a date-]"
"Please Rai. I needed to find Ceila."
"[Fine! But I'll use your car tomorrow.]" sabi na eh, hindi talaga papayag si Rai ng walang kapalit.
"Then it's a deal." sabi ko at pinatay ang tawag.
Hindi din nagtagal dumating si Rai. I gave him my keys and the paper bag before running to find Ceila.
Just thinking the idea of her being lost without a friend already worries me.
Damn you Nadia.
I tried running on every store hoping I could find Ceila. From first floor until third. I was searching for her, my heart beating thinking where could she possibly be.
Some people would look at me in confusion but I was too occupied to even mind them.
Until I reached the middle part of the third floor. It was an open space with wooden benches and plants on pot.
I stopped and catched my breath. Calmed down my racing heart beat as I saw her figure.
And there she was, sitting while bowing her head. I could see from afar how her shoulders move as I hear her silent sobs.
I walked slowly not making a noise.
