You were an avenger, and you were fucking exhausted. Not from missions or being a hero but from putting up with everyone's bullshit.

You were tired of all the drama and you were frustrated, angry even. The final straw was when your long term girlfriend cheated on you last week.

You had been dating Natasha for the better part of five years, and you were crushed when you found out. You accidentally walked in on her in the act, with Maria, someone you considered to be a friend.

You were friendly with most people in the tower, but now it seems like everything is falling apart. Your relationship and the few closer friendships you had.

You felt betrayed, you wanted to propose to Natasha soon, you even had a ring and now it's all ruined, all because she couldn't keep her legs closed.

It's not like you were lacking in your sex life, you would fuck almost every day but apparently that wasn't enough for her.

But it wasn't really about the sex for her, it was about the risk of doing it and possibly getting caught, it was a game for her, an adrenaline rush.

You had no idea how long this may have been going on for, whether it was the first time or if there were many before. All that mattered is that you two were done regardless.

It may have started as nothing but a joke for Natasha but now that you broke up with her she only realized just how much she ruined, how much she lost. She could have had the picture perfect life everyone dreams of but she ruined it.

You weren't usually a hateful person, the one person that you never liked was Wanda Maximoff, she had it out for you since the day she joined.

As a result you returned the feeling, she hated you for literally no reason so you did too. Now you could also add Natasha to the list.

But although Natasha broke your heart you don't think that you are actually capable of hating her no matter how much you want to, you'll never forgive her but you won't hate her.

Wanda on the other hand could rot in hell, she hated you for no reason and made that pretty clear so you were not going to feel bad about it.

Wanda has been your worst enemy since the day she joined the avengers about two years ago. She was always there to make sure that your day was just that little bit worse.

You knew that Wanda can mind read and you were grateful for having powers that stop her from being able to read yours. Now thinking about it, maybe that's the reason she didn't like you.

You're the one person she could never know what's on their mind, although she wasn't supposed to read her teammates minds and she usually didn't.

But sometimes she would if it would give her an advantage. She was able to see what others think of her and each other which helped her know who to avoid and who to befriend.

Most of the team is gone on a mission, it was a big one. Only you and Wanda were left behind. You weren't sure why Wanda didn't go, but you weren't able to go because Fury claims that you've been too on edge and get angered too easily and that may cause you to do something stupid, so he's not letting you go on missions until you handle your emotions.

You were just laying in your bed, minding your own business staring at the ceiling as you hear commotion outside.

Super hearing was such a curse in this shit hole. Luckily you could tune everything out pretty well usually and basically turn it off.
