You didn't quite know where to go as you left the house. How could she do that to you and then on top of that have the audacity to cry about it.
You should have been the one crying, the one getting angry, but you felt nothing. Just a big black void where your heart used to be.
You didn't think it was a good idea to drive right now, so you just grabbed your headphones from your car, put on some music and ran.
You always ran when things were bad. But this, this was a whole different level. Your whole life was going to shit. You didn't know how to deal with this kind of betrayal.
You ran as fast as you could for a few miles. You weren't even dressed for running, but you didn't care. You needed to get as far away as possible.
You ended up at a park, the same one you usually ran laps in. Your heart hammered in your chest as you damn near collapsed on the bench, holding onto the back of it for support.
You took a few breaths, trying to calm your heart as you felt a panic attack coming on. Usually running helped keep them away as it would distract your mind from whatever else was going on, but this time it consumed your every thought.
Even as your muscles ached and your lungs burned, all you could think about was her.
You sat down on the bench, burying your head in your arms, trying to slow down your breathing.
You pulled out your phone, 10 missed calls and a few messages, all from Jenna. It had only been 30 minutes since you left and she was already spamming your phone.
You didn't look at her messages, swiping them out of your notifications. You messed with the phone between your hands, trying to make a decision as you stared ahead blankly.
You scratched the back of your neck, pulling up Emma's contact. You hesitated one more time and locked your phone again.
'Fuck' you grumbled after a few minutes, calling the number before you could change your mind again. You put the phone on the bench next to you as you heard the ringing through your headphones.
You fiddled with your fingers nervously, you were about to hang up, but heard the ringing stop as Emma picked up the call.
"Who was it?" You asked flatly, skipping the pleasantries. "Y/n-" she started. "Don't defend her, Emma." You said annoyed.
"I wasn't going to. I'm more worried about you. I don't think that answer will do you any good." Emma said softly.
"Answer the question. I know that you know who it was, she tells you everything." Y/n responded trying to keep her composure.
"Well, I don't know if she would have told me about this. But I did see who left her room." Emma said quietly.
"And?" You asked, getting annoyed about her beating around the bush. "Are you sure?" She asked, making you sigh.
"Jesus Emma just tell me or I'll call her right now and tell her I'm done with her." You threatened. "Okay, okay." Emma said quickly.
"Have you met Carla, you've met her right? When I was working with her on a show?" Emma asked.
"Yes, I've met Carla." You responded through gritted teeth. "It was her sister, Savanna." Emma said.
You didn't say anything, you were so quiet that Emma had to check if you hung up on her. "For what it's worth, Jenna was really upset afterwards, she hates herself for what she did. She really loves you, y'know." Emma added.
"Well clearly not enough." You grumbled. "She did a stupid thing, but I could tell how upset she was about it." Emma said, as if that was any consolation.
