G!p Gracie---
You booked a doctors appointment after a few weeks of feeling sick. You couldn't quite place what was wrong. Something just felt off. You were tired all the time and your body was aching for no good reason sometimes.
Gracie was busy with work. She was in the middle of making an album, so it took up a lot of her time.
You didn't tell her how you have been feeling lately as you figured Gracie already had a lot on her plate, so you didn't want to worry her with it.
Usually you liked to blast music on your drives, especially when you were alone, but your drive home from the hospital was silent.
You were still trying to process everything. You just couldn't quite believe what the doctors had told you. Your life was about to change and it took a minute to come to terms with that.
There was a lot going through your mind. The main thing was how you were going to tell Gracie, or even when, for that matter.
You really wanted to tell her right now, but maybe you should wait. You didn't want to affect Gracies' work with the news.
You had plenty of time to think it over, Gracie wouldn't be home for another 6 hours at least as it was still before noon.
---
"Baby, I'm back." Gracie announced as she closed and locked the apartment door. You usually came to meet her at the door when she came back, but this time, there was no sign of you.
Gracie furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. You should have been home. You always told Gracie if you were going somewhere on your days off.
Gracie walked through the kitchen, leaving her handbag on a chair. There was still no sign of her girlfriend, that is until she saw the TV on in the living room.
Once she got closer, she realised that you had fallen asleep on the couch. It was surprising. She never saw you take naps and it was only 4 pm.
Gracie picked up the remote, turning the TV off. You stirred in your sleep before slightly opening your eyes, squinting at the figure in front of you.
"You're back? What time is it?" You mumbled sleepily. Gracie sat down on the edge of the couch next to you.
"It's just past four." Gracie told you with a smile as she rubbed your arm up and down gently.
You managed to open your eyes fully as they got used to the brightness and the sleep left your features.
"Didn't expect you home until at least six." You said with a smile as you pulled her down to lay with you.
You wrapped your arms around her and kissed the back of her neck. "We finished up quicker than expected. It's basically done, just some finishing touches." Gracie said as she turned around in your arms.
You smiled at her softly, kissing her lips gently. "That's good to hear, I know it has been a lot of work."
Gracie smiled, kissing you again, but deeper this time. You chuckled when she finally pulled away. "Someone's needy." You teased.
"Just missed you." She said with a pout, making you smile. "I'm a little hungry actually, will you eat?" You asked as you felt the familiar discomfort in your stomach.
You were glad to have leftovers from the previous night because you were not in the mood to cook.
"I could eat." She said with a smile as you ventured towards the kitchen. You reheated the leftovers and ate together as you talked about your days.
