Y/n pulled herself out of bed, making her way to the kitchen in need of some coffee.

She sighed lowly as she made her coffee and took a long sip of it. It sucked that Gracie was out of town on Valentines Day.

It was their first Valentines since they started dating and Y/n was looking forward to spending the day together until something unexpected came up a week prior, causing Gracie to have to leave for a bit.

Gracie was due to return in a few days and promised that they could celebrate a little late, but it still kind of sucked. Y/n hadn't seen Gracie in a week and she hated it.

They've been together for just over 6 months and they haven't spent this much time apart since they got together. 

But Y/n understood how demanding Gracies job could be, that just came with dating a celebrity.

Y/n yawned as she went back to her room, placing her coffee on the nightstand. She put on some music as she made her way to the shower.

Y/n felt much better as the hot water hit her skin. She hummed along to the music as she washed her hair slowly.

Y/n checked her phone as she stepped out of the shower, grumbling lowly as she still got no response from texting Gracie earlier.

She went through her usual routine of drying and styling her hair. A small smile rose to Y/ns lips as a notification came from her phone.

She knew it was Gracie by the custom notification sound she had just for her. They exchanged a few texts back and forth before Gracie had to go.

Even only having such a short conversation Y/n couldn't stop smiling. For the first time in 23 years Y/n could say that she was in a happy relationship and head over heels in love.

She was pulled out of her thoughts as the doorbell rang throughout her apartment. She sauntered over to the front door, pulling it open in confusion.

Y/ns mouth fell open in shock, "Gracie," she whispered as she pulled her into a hug, still in disbelief that she was actually here.

"Hi, my love." Gracie smiled happily as they parted. "I can't believe you're here." Y/n said as she caressed Gracies cheeks before placing a soft kiss on her lips.

Gracie blushed slightly. After all this time, she still had the same reaction when she kissed Y/n.

"I got you these." Gracie said softly, handing Y/n the big bouquet of flowers that Y/n hadn't noticed she was holding in her excitement to hug her girlfriend. 

"Thank you, but you being here was enough. I'm so happy you're here." Y/n said excitedly as she pulled Gracie into her apartment.

"I booked us a table at your favourite place for lunch and then I have something else in mind." Gracie said, hugging Y/n from behind as she put the flowers in a vase.

"Sounds like a plan." Y/n hummed. "I got you a few things as well." Y/n smiled excitedly. Y/n couldn't get flowers like she'd planned since she didn't know Gracie was coming back, but she had other things.

Y/n gave Gracie a little gift hamper and also a scrapbook she made of their relationship so far, leaving plenty of space for future events.

"Oh my God, this is so cool." Gracie said excitedly as she flipped through the book. It was nice to look back on all their milestones and the memories.
