ignore - ashtray

"this is a bad idea" i say to rue as she sat on ash's bed beside me. "trust me.. this is going to be so funny to see" she chuckles in a dopey manner.

today, i was going to ignore my boyfriend ash, i know this is a bad idea. but, it was all rues idea so at least i had someone to blame.

"aight i think i hear him, good luck" she chuckles again before exiting his room. i sat there nervous, deciding to go on my phone as a distraction.

moments later the noise of the door swinging open, "ma i missed you" ash groaned. my eyes staying glued to my phone.

i struggled, trying to use my everything to not pay any mind to him.

he placed himself next to me, placing a kiss on my cheek. "ma" he speaks, i say nothing. "ma!" he raises his voice this time waving his hand in between the phone and my face.

at this point i was determined to go along with the prank.

his hand then grabbed my chin aggressively moving my face to his. "what are you doing" he says looking me in the eye.

my eyes trying their hardest to stay glued to the phone. "look at me" he continued to grab my attention.

shifting my eyes to his before yanking my head from his grasp, back to the phone. "y/n, stop playing" he says, stern tone.

urging to forget about the prank, i stood strong still ignoring him. he continued to try grab my attention so i walked into the living room.

"y/n don't walk away from me!!" he yelled as i walked out of the room onto the couch next to faye.

i looked at her whilst flicking a smile, "hey faye" i spoke, "hey" she smiled at me.

"oh so you can talk to faye but not me, wtf?!" ash says as he proceeded to follow after me.

a worried look appears onto faye as she felt targeted, i looked at her & shook my head. letting her know that it wasn't personal.

my head shifted to her ear, "prank" i whispered into her ear. she forms a 'o' with her mouth whilst nodding her head with understanding.

"you know what, fuck you" ash gives up. i look up at him as he towered over me. he sighs and walks back into his room.

making sure to slam the door.

"you're crazy" faye chuckles, "haha i know" my eyes grew wide as i didn't think the whole prank through.

"yo wassup with him" fez says as his thumb pointed to ash's room. "y/n ignoring him as a prank" faye explains.

fez shoots me a 'your crazy' look. i shrugged in response, knowing that ash wouldn't do anything to me.

everyone proceeded to do their things whilst ash threw his tantrum.

30 minutes after i gave in, i just couldn't do it any more.

my hand twisted the door knob, entering ash's room. only to discover him on call with some girl.

"i'm so- who is that?" i questioned as he attempted to hid his phone. "no one" he replies with an eye roll.

"hey y/n" a voice spoke from the phone, a familiar one. "rene?!" i slightly yelled.

shocked my mouth hung opened, "well what did you expect" ash throws his hands up in defence. "it was a prank?!" i yelled.

"well it wasn't a funny one?" ash argued back, "no fuck you ash" i spoke on the verge of tears.

the tears threatened to fall, but i denied. blinking them away.

"okay but guess what.." he spoke. i give him a 'what' look.

"this is a prank aswell" he laughs.

a laugh exited my mouth as i felt stupid, "gotchaaa!" rene smiles through the screen. i laughed at the both of them as they felt proud of themselves.

ash hangs up the phone without a warning, forgetting about rene. "that was good" i chuckle before embracing him.

"i'm sorry" we spoke at the same time, then chuckling at our jinx.

our eyes meet each other finally. ash's eyes to my lips, proceeding to place his lips on mine.

"been waiting all day for that"
