"I love you."
Sahaj spoke and she felt her heart starting to thump loudly against her chest.
"What?"
"I love you. Marry me."
He said and walked towards her and reached out to touch her but she stepped back.
"No. Don't you touch me."
She mumbled and stepped back once again.
"Why?"
"No."
She said and stepped back even further.
She didn't want this dream to end.
"You won't marry me?"
"I will. Just don't touch me."
"Why? Don't you love me too?"
"I do. More than everything. Just don't touch me."
She said and he quickly grabbed her hand.
She looked down where their skin touched. Her eyes widened.
"This isn't a dream."
She whispered and he pulled her closer and locked his hands behind her waist.
"It isn't."
"I am not dreaming?"
"No you aren't."
He said and lightly dug his teeth in her cheek, trying to make her believe that it wasn't a dream.
"So will you marry me?"
He asked and her knees buckled. He held her, not letting her fall.
As the feelings and his words settled in, her lips started quivering and her eyes watered.
She hid her face in his chest and cried.
"You love me. You love me!"
She cried. Her ten years didn't go in vain. He loved her too. She didn't love him for half her life in vain.
"You love me! You won't let me go right?"
She asked and he nodded.
"Not when I get angry, not when I fight with your father?"
"Not even then."
"You'll always love me? Even when I get old and loose all my hair?"
She asked and he stepped back a little and flailing his arms up in the air and making gestures, spoke
"Oh my beautiful lady, you captivate my heart, and I promise to love you with a passion that will last forever. You shine so brightly in your youth, illuminating everything around you. And when time takes its toll, and your hair turns gray, I'll still love you with the same intensity.
I'll cherish you no matter what, through good times and bad, in sickness and in health. I'll be your rock, your shelter, and your safe haven. When the stars come out at night, I'll whisper your name to them, so they can witness the depth of my love and tell it to the next generation and keep it alive even when I'm not.
I'll love you so deeply, that the air will be filled with the scent of our love forever. Flowers will bloom more vibrantly, birds will sing more sweetly, and the sun will shine more brightly, all because of the of our love.
So, my dear, I ask you to accept this promise, and to trust me with your heart. I swear, on my honor, on my life that I'll love you, cherish you, and adore you, for all the days of my life.
Is that enough?"
He asked and she let out a laugh, and wiped her tears.
"That's exactly why you are an English teacher. That's more than enough."
She mumbled and stood on her tip toes to reach his lips and kiss him. She was just gonna go for a peck, but he held her face and kept her in place as he kissed her.
"Let me have you for the rest of my life."
He whispered and picked her up. Samidha giggled and gently kissed him.
"You'll have to talk to Shardul."
She said, moving away and he chased for her.
