Chapter 43: Mum..

A few months later, your mums been admitted in the hospital, you and Caroline have gotten close. Damon, Stefan and Katherine's currently at the hospital. You and Caroline are getting your mum's favourite food when Damon calls you, you quickly end the call.

Y/N: We need to go Care now *You say in a shaky and rushed tone*

Caroline: *She frowns* Okay

You'll leave, rush into the hospital and to you'lls mums room. You'll then see her lying there, you'll walk into her room. Caroline takes you both into her mind since she's no longer conscious. You'll go into one of your mum's favourite memory.

Little Caroline: Mum I wanna stop *She say sitting on her bike*

Liz: If you stop you'll never learn sweetie

Little Y/N: I don't wanna learn *You say trying to get of your bike*

Liz: Yes you do *She says holding the bike*

Little Caroline: I can't do it *She says upset*

Liz: Just pedal *She says still holding the back of the bike*

Little Y/N: I'm going to fall *You say scared*

Liz: I'm holding you up sweetheart you can't fall *She says reassuringly as she runs next to you holding your bike*

Little Caroline: I'm scared I want my other wheels back on *She says with fear*

Liz: You can do it *She says encouragingly*

Little Y/N: Don't let go mummy *You say scared*

Liz: *Who already let go slowly but still staying close to catch you if you fall* I won't until you're ready

Little Caroline: Don't let go I'm not ready *She shouts scared*

She lets go of the both of you'll and you'll are riding away while she watches.

Liz: Yes you'll are *She says smiling watching you'll get further away*

You'll then come out of her mind, the monitors start to beep and her heartbeat stops.

Caroline: Mum *She say in a soft scared tone* Mum *She starts to cry and so do you*

Y/N: She's gone *You let out through a painful sob*

Everyone stands by the door, sad and in tears. You and Caroline haven't let go of her hand and are crying.

Caroline: She's gone Y/N *She says through sobs*

Y/N: I know Care *You say in a gruff and pained voice*

The next day, you'll have the funeral, you and Caroline joined by all your friends and the Sheriff department. The entire town attends, unaware to you Tony and Wanda also attend but sit at the back. The Sheriff's department honours your mum and then Damon does the eulogy by your mums last request. Then you and Caroline close the service by singing. Once it's over after thanking everyone for coming you go check on Caroline.

Y/N: Care are you okay? *You ask in a concerned tone*

Caroline: I'm fine *She says bluntly*

Y/N: You sure Care? You don't seem it..

Caroline: I'm just grieving not like you'd understand since you've never seen me grieve *She cuts you of and say in a harsh tone*

Y/N: Care I'm just...

Caroline: I don't care, you weren't here when dad died, when mum got diagnosed, when I found out about it *She yells, shocking you*

Y/N: That's because I didn't know about mum and as for our father, he has no actual relationship with me at all, if you seemed to forget he preferred to act as if he had only one daughter and I didn't exist *You snap at her*
