"Oh my gosh, Scottie! Are you okay? What happen? Tell me everything." Claire screams in my ears, hugging me to the death. Groaning and moaning from the hug, yet she never let go of me.

"ClaireBear .. You .. Are ... Hurting .. Me!"

She lets go, covering her wide-open mouth with her hands. "I'm so sorry, ScottieBoo!"

"No worries, ClaireBear." Turning back to my locker, grabbing the books I need. This morning, after getting ready and preparing breakfast for Maddie, I found a note on the coffee table. Nicholas must have wrote that note, since his signature was at the bottom. He wanted to see if we can hang this weekend at the carnival, since this weekend is the last weekend of the annual summer festival. He gave me his number and wanted me to call him anytime to confirm the invitation. Should I go with the guy? Heck, I don't even know him. He could be a raper or psychopath. The extremely hot ones are the dangerous one, they told me!

"So, I was thinking... We should go out on Friday. That movie, "College Terror," is coming out and I want to see sexy Channing Tatum, playing the hunky frat boy who turns out to be the serial killer in the end." Bell rings, signaling the start of 1st period. Claire interlocks our arms, dragging me to our first, still blabbering on plans of sorts. "Then afterwards, we can go to that party that everyone talks about. You know, the senior-start off party that only the cool, awesome people goes and where we, non-existing humans of high school like us, stays home and watch reruns of full house, wishing for an opportunity to be notice. We can sneak in or something. C'mon, Scott, let's do it?" Claire stops in front our class door, giving me her best doggy face.

"Okay. One: you're rapidly speaking; you only do that when you're uber excited about something. Two: no way in hell!" Brush past her, I walk in and head towards my desk.

I can hear her, close to my tail. "Oh please. Please. Please. Please. Pleaseeeee!"

Turning around, giving her the look of annoyance. "Ugh! If I say yes, would you get off my back and shut your pie-hole?" She rapidly nods her head, putting her hands together like she's praying while pouting.

"Then, sure."

She squeals, jumping up and down, and gives me a big squeeze of a hug.

"OW!"

Letting go, she gives me a cheeky smile. "Sorry. Love you." Kisses my cheek and sits on her desks.

Remind me why I chose her as my friend? I could survive high school, without her, right? Right?!

Cue the spotlight. Turn on the gigantic fan. Girls crowd the door because here comes the "boys", walking in one by one. Of course, Nolan walks in first, looking dangerously handsome, with his white linen shirt and black leather jacket. Next comes in Marcus, and let me just tell you, he looks good in a muscle t-shirt. I've never been interested in chocolates (I'm not racist, I swear), but he looks so damn good! After Marcus, Paul walks in, wearing light blue polo shirt, chino joggers, and combat boots. Out of all the "boys", Paul is the most stylish, non-cliche looking guy. He goes from casual to sporty to classy to so much more every week. Christian comes in with Amy, Hailey's bff. You all ready know that Christian is the school's whore... Well ... Amy is Christian, but with boobs. Both love to mess around, yet they like to have fun times together as well. Weird?? And lastly to walk in is Xavier. Xavier, wearing all black: black polo shirt, black skinny jeans, black vans. It's like that boy doesn't know any colors besides black.

When Xavier walked in, I avert my eyes away from the door, remembering the events happened yesterday. I'm still confused on what just happened after Xavier came to the rescue. Why did he stick around when he knows that he can just drop me to the hospital then leave? Why did he save me? Why was he in the area? I know for a fact, that no one from our school goes downtown.. Well, I never seen anyone there, so I'm actually guessing no one goes there.
