Decorated to look like an enchanted forest at a quite expensive hotels' back courtyard, prom started off in a really good note for me. A DJ, who's playing really good songs by the way, stands in the middle of two large trees, wrapped around with twinkling white lights. Walking deep in, I see more twinkling lights streamed and hung everywhere. Many trees surrounds the area; real and fake ones, large ones and small ones. Overall, prom looks beautiful and I know many of the students worked hard to make this night extravagant and memorable.

After finding a table that fits our group and dates, I drag Nolan to the food table.

"Hungry are we, babe?" he asks, throwing a hint of amusement, which earns him an elbow to the abdomen. He chuckles at the look of my face as my elbow throbs from the pain of his abs. In my defense, his package is really hard, which is one of the many reason why I fell in love with him.

Just kidding .. Or am I?

"I am, in fact, hungry. Problem?"

We both stare down each other for a moment, but that quickly ends when we hear a person clearing its throat behind us. Simultaneously, we look to see Hailey is standing behind us with an amusing smirk on her face.

"You, two, are cute and all, but stop hogging the table." she, then, hugs both of us.

"Nice to see you Hailey. Looking beautiful tonight." Nolan compliments her with a smile. "Where's your date?"

"Didn't ask one. Just me and the girls." she looks at both of us and smiles. "You, two, look really handsome. All matching and stuff." It's true that Nolan and I are wearing matching tuxedos; it's just his own is full black with a white tie. He cleaned up really good with his gelled styled hair and fresh shaven face. Him, looking like this, is making it harder for me to not drag him to the hotel room we reserved.

We both give her a smile of thanks.

".. So, I'm kind of hungry and you, two lovely boys, are blocking my way." she giggles. "Enjoy the night." Walks around us, grabbing a plate.

"Lets get some food, shall we?" Nolan asks, but then, startled by my abrupt squeal ... Why did I squeal? I can never explain and I will never talk about it. My reason for squealing — let's not bring it up ever — is because the DJ, being the bomb at what he does, decided to play a favorite song of mine and I could see Claire dragging Calvin for the same reason.

"Baby, let's dance." I plead.

"I thought you were hungry."

Even as he argues, he still has an amusing smile on his face, seeing me being indecisive. Once I see him place the plate back on its stack, quickly, I grab his hand and drag him to the crowded dance floor. "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk The Moon blasts through the speakers and many of us jumps and dances to the beat with laughter and smiles, eating off the exciting and happy vibe from the crowd. Nolan, with hands linked with each other, spins me around at times, laughing at my giddy-self. Soon, Claire and Calvin joins our dancing circle, sharing the same laughters and smiles.

We dance through two more songs; this time, our group joins us on the floor. It was halfway through the night and before the DJ took his break, the MC announced that the crowning of prom king and queen will be announce shortly. Heading back to our table, Nolan stops me and lets the rest go first.

"What is it, Noel?" I ask.

"Going to the restroom, k?" nodding of approval, which he didn't need to get, he heads in the hotel as I join the gang at our table. Before I could sit and chat, I hear my name.

"Scott?" Xavier calls me to him, standing by the tree from our table. Walking over to him, I see the actual color of his tuxedo as he leans on it with the twinkling lights wrapped around its trunk. Since its kind of dark and we are outside, you can't really see the actual color; you may think it's just plain black, but when lights hit the fabric of the suit, you can see that it's actually dark brown. Once in reaching distance, I was abruptly pulled towards his hard body, being encircled by his arms as a sign of a hug. After a minute or two of confusion, I reciprocate, encircling my arms around him.
