It's been several days after the ball and now, it's Christmas Eve. I've never gotten to know who saved me in the restroom. I remembered my frantic, scared eyes gazing at him. His eyes is the only think you can see on his face, due to his full face mask, and in his eyes, I saw anger, but also relief as he stares at me. He doesn't do anything but stares at me, blocking my way out. When the lights automatically turns out, he gave me a nod, then walks away. From his gaze, I felt my heart beat rapidly, wondering on what he will do to me. After he left, it felt like the weight was lifted off my shoulders as I let out a big breath. I quickly ran towards the door, looking to see if he had gone far so I can thank him, but only saw the deserted hallway. I looked everywhere for him, but came up with no luck. The rest of the night was me trying to find the mysterious man. I could have sworn that every turn, I would see the him looking at me, but as I head to his standing, nothing there. Weird? I thought so too.

"Scott, movie is starting." I hear Claire yells from downstairs. Since it's Christmas Eve, Claire invited me over for her Eve party with her family.

Quickly washing my hands, I head out of the bathroom and walk down the stairs. The smell of holiday food and baked goods is filling the air as I walk down, causing my stomach to grumble. Everyone in her family arrived a day before. The kids decides to watch some holiday movies while the adults talk, drink some wine, cook and bake. Walking into the living room, Claire and a bunch of her cousins were scatter around, some on the floor, some on the couch. I walk over to where Claire sits as she cuddles with Calvin.

We watched a bunch of Christmas movie, from classic to new, and then, we were called for dinner. Walking in Claire's dining room, many different foods are placed on the table.

"And this why I love coming to your house on holidays and parties." I whisper enough for Claire to hear, resulting a giggly Claire beside me. Before coming here, I asked Xavier if he wants to come to the party. I didn't know why I did that, to be honest. Maybe, because I wanted him around to help me decide on who I want. He texted me that he'll be here after doing some errands. As I pile my plate with food, a doorbell sounds off through the house.

"Who did you invite Claire?" Mr. Morgan ask as he walks out the kitchen with a bottle of red wine.

"Actually.." I cut off Claire, as she opens her mouth. ".. I invited Xavier.." Looking at Mr. Morgan confuse face, then a look of recognition hits him.

"Ah, Xavier, you're boyfriend. Sure, let him in." Mr. Morgan throws me a smile, then heads to his chair. As I get off my chair, Claire stops me by placing a hand on my arm.

"You invited Xavier?" She quietly ask. Giving her a nod, she lets go. I get to the door, opening it to reveal a cold, shivering Xavier. I look at what he was wearing; he has on a cream sweater, covered by a maroon windbreaker, a pair of black jeans and combat boots. On his hand, he wears a grey and black striped beanie. He was in mid blow to his hand to keep it warm as I open the door.

"Hey." Chuckling at his cute expression; it's like a look when you get caught stealing a cookie in the jar.

"Hello." He gives me a smile, stuffing his hand in his pocket. I lead him to the dining room, where everyone is still chatting and eating.

"Xavier." I look to see Mr. Morgan getting of his chair, giving Xavier a firm shake of the hand with a smile. "It's good to see you again. Been treating Scott well, right?" Confusion appears on my face, and on Xavier's as well. I look over to Claire as I see her looking our way. Giving her a stare, trying to communicate through eyes, she shrugs her shoulder, then went back to her food. I guess she didn't tell him.

Xavier glance at me for a second, then turns back to Mr. Morgan, giving him a nod as a response, which earned him a big smile and pat on back. "Good man. Come. Let's eat." I walk to my empty seat besides Claire and Xavier takes the one next to me. We ate silently, not making any conversation like most of these people. Claire and I talked a little as we eat, but Xavier remains quiet as he eats. After desserts, Claire's little cousin, Benny .. I think .. Suggested to play in the snow outside at the backyard. I grab my jacket from Claire's room as all the kids head to the backyard.
