Couple of weeks of staying home, patiently waiting for my throat to heal, have gone by. During those long, tremendous, and torturing weeks of no-speaking, I've gotten some study done for my mock trials and make-up works. Xavier was such a help, since his father is a lawyer after all. I was shock to see him understand this stuff, but then I remember that his father went to law school, so of course his son will know what he learned. Nolan came over mostly everyday, just like he said, and handed me my assignment for the day, giving me company and at times, helping me with other stuff as well. He's been great to me, always helping and caring for me when I'm kind of handicapped at the moment. Mostly everyday, like I said, he'll come by and give me my assignment. All of my assignment. Some classes I don't have him, and yet, he'll make time to go to them and get my assignment. When I felt hungry and wanted soup; Doctor recommended for me to eat light and not solid, Nolan would make me some as I work on my homework. My throat has, somewhat, healed through those weeks and Doctor said that I'm good to go.
"It's weird though. You weren't here around Nolan and yet, Hailey doesn't make any moves on him. Looks like you won." Claire says as we walk in the hallway. It's my first day back to school and I'm gladly missing it. Claire visited me mostly everyday, reporting Hailey's action. I asked her to keep an eye on her because clearly, I hate that bitch and if she goes near my man, I will chop her off. I may be bruised, but I'll can still cut a hoe. As Claire and I walk down, I get multiple of various looks thrown at me. The day after my confrontation with Oliver, the news about him got out. Since he's still 17, he has been sent to a juvenile center for the meantime. Once he turns 18, he'll go straight to jail. His doctor said that he has a mental disorder; his severe obsession is what cause him to be psychotic, so mandatory mental hospital visit is in order.
"She better keep her distance." Claire giggles beside him. Walking to my locker, Nolan leans against the one besides mine, staring down to his phone. Checking him out, I bite my lip at the sight. Today, he wears his black leather jacket that matches his black polo shirt. His dark blue washed jeans are somewhat tight on him which makes me groan at the thought of him without his pants on. He notices our coming presence, as he looks up from his phone, throwing me that sexy smile I've grown to love.
"Hey baby." He kisses me quick on the lips. "Hey Claire." Nodding towards my amused best friend.
Claire nods back, saying, "Now, I'm going to call my boyfriend so I can get my morning kiss." Getting out her phone, she calls Calvin, walking to a vacant locker, leaning towards it as she holds her phone to her ear. As I open and gather stuff from my locker, Nolan ask, "excited to be back?"
"Hah." I laugh sarcastically, staring at him with a look, seeing him smiling big at me. "Are you busy tonight? Since we couldn't do anything for Valentines because of my condition, I was thinking we could do something?"
Two days ago was Valentine's Day and due to my aching neck, I couldn't force myself to leave the house without groaning from the pain. It wasn't a major pain, but you could feel it occasionally. Nolan stayed with me as usual and all though he told me he made advance plans for that day, he didn't mind, staying at my house with me, watching tv as we eat soup and ice cream on my couch.
That smile on his face fades as he scratches the back of his neck, looking to the side of him. "That sounds a good idea, baby, but I got basketball practice. I skipped a couple of days to be with you." He, then, grabs my hands, causing me to stare at him after I sadly looked away. "How about this. This Friday, I'll take you out. Either out of town or out of the state. Whatever you like."
"Okay." I smile along with him, then giving him a kiss. We talked as we wait for the bell to ring. Claire and Calvin came to join us during Nolan and I conversation. Then, the screeching sound of the bell goes off and we, all, head to class.
