"So are you excited for your first date?" I ask Claire as she puts on some foundation.

"More than you know." She smiles through the mirror. It's Saturday, which means it's Claire and Calvin's first date. After dropping Maddie to Riley's house, I came here. We hang out for the day, watching movies, talking about my date. She got excited when I explain to her what happened after she left me in the docks. She also told me that Xavier asked her to drop me there, blindfolded so he could prepare the boat with Liam. Calvin texted her, saying he's going to pick her up at 6. It's 5:30 at the moment.

"How do I look?" She, then, steps out of the bathroom after finishing her makeup and putting on her outfit. Her outfit consists of a red short dress, black tights, and black boots. Her hair is curled up and put to the side.

"Looks really good, Claire." She smile, walking towards the bed, and sits next to me.

"I'm nervous though." Playing with her hair, combing it through with her fingers. I put a comforting hand on her back, rubbing it softly.

"Don't be. Just have a fun time. I know Calvin planned something amazing for your date."

"You think so?" She looks at me as she questions.

I nod my head, giving her a comforting smile. Suddenly, we hear the doorbell ring from downstairs.

"It's your date." Wiggling my eyebrows at her. She rolls her eyes, laughing as she gets off the bed, heading out the door. I follow closely behind her, walking down the stairs. We see Mr. Morgan opening the door, revealing a nervous-looking Calvin holding a bouquet of white and pink tulips.

"Hello Mr. Morgan." He smiles, giving him a stern shake of the hand. He, then, looks our way, feeling from nervousness to astonishment.

"Wow." He says as we reach the bottom floor. I watch, amusingly, as she walks toward the door, blushing her heart out. "You look beautiful."

"Thank you." He licks his dry lips, handing her the flowers.

"This is for you." Claire takes the flowers, smiling the scent. She smiles at him, causing him to smile as well.

"These are beautiful and they smell good. Thank you."

"Your welcome."

"Here." I walk towards them. "You two should get going. I'll put the flowers in a vase." Claire smiles at me, handing me the flowers. She, then, hugs her dad, kissing his cheek.

"Have fun, darling." He calls out as Calvin guides Claire to his car. "It's okay, Scott. I'll put the flowers in the vase. You should probably go pick up your sister." I nod, handing him the flowers. I give him a wave once I walk out of the house and head to my car.

***************

I drove to Riley's house to pick up Maddie, only to be told by Riley's mother that her and her friends went out to the mall and find costumes for Halloween. I decide going to the local ice cream shop instead of going home and doing absolutely nothing. I called Xavier this morning and we talk for awhile. I asked what he would be doing tonight.

"I'm sorry, baby. Going to a party."

So, hanging out with Xavier for the night while Maddie is out with friends and Claire is out on a date is off of my list to do for the night. I get to the ice cream parlor and order up my personal favorite: vanilla with chocolate chips drizzle on top of it. The lady at the counter flirts with me the entire time, which shocks me. I had to let her down easily as she writes her name and phone number on my arm, telling her that I have boyfriend. Now, that made her shock and embarrass.
