The bell rings for dismissal. It's been two days since the almost-kiss with Xavier and I haven't seen him around. I asked Nolan yesterday and he doesn't know either; same goes for the rest of the boys. And now today, no one has seen him. No phone calls back. No text messages back. Nothing, whatsoever.
"Scottie." Claire appears beside me as we head out to the parking lot. "Can I ask you something? You know, from a boy perspective."
"Sure." We stop at the top of the stairs. There's students passing by us, trying to get to the bus on time, but they walk or run around us. "What is it, ClaireBear?"
"Well ..." She stresses it out, looking quite uncomfortable. "Calvin and I are almost 4 months. And .. Uhm .. Well ..."
I laugh, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Claire, I'm your best friend. You can say it."
"Well, I told him I love him ... And he .. Freaked out. Ever since then, I could feel some tension between us. He said that it's nothing, but I know it's something. I'm afraid. Afraid that he might break up with me." I pull her into a hug, rubbing softly on her back as she hugs me tightly.
"He's not going to break up with you. You have to understand that this is probably Calvin's first relationship. So of course he would be a little freaked out about the 'L' word." I let go of her, but still grasp onto her shoulders, looking dead on to her eyes. "Just talked to him, okay?" I see her nod, giving me a smile.
"Okay, thanks Scottie." Bidding me a goodbye with a kiss on the cheek, she, then, runs down the stairs, making her way to her car. Walking down the stairs, my pocket vibrates repeatedly. I take out my phone, looking at the caller id.
"Hello, Nollie." Nolan doesn't respond through the phone. All you could hear is a silent chuckle, which causes me to be suspicious. Suddenly, two hands covers my eyes. "Whoa. Uhm .. hello?"
"Tell me your handsome boyfriend is your master and no one will get hurt." Rolling my eyes under his hands at Nolan's masked voice; he made it sound like he's the devil.
"Never!" Teasing at him.
"Then you'll pay the price." He whisper sexily low. Then, he lets me have my sight of vision, turns me around, and gives me a hot kiss. His lips taste sweet like candy and I swear that he's the lip kissing master because on how he makes me melt at the moment. He slips his tongue between my lips and instantly, our tongues gets tangle with one another. "With a hot wet kiss from your boyfriend." He whispers against my lips after breaking our kiss.
"I should pay the price more often." Purring at him, tiptoeing on my feet so I could place tiny kisses on his neck. Nolan silently groans, gripping onto my hips.
"Scott ..." Giggling, I take a couple of steps backward.
"Sorry." Nolan smiles, leaning towards me, planting a kiss on my cheeks.
"What time do you get off?"
"8." Nolan walks with me to my car, after seeing the busses drive off campus. Some peers stays back, hanging with their friends by one of their cars or heading off to the field for the current sport that's happening. Reaching towards my car, Nolan grabs a hold of my arm.
"I'll drop and pick you up from work, okay?"
"What about Maddie? I need to drop her to Granny Adams' but I work in like 20 minutes." Nolan just shakes his head, placing a kiss on my cheek.
"I'll take care of it. Just go and get ready for work." He lets go of my arm, walking to the driver side and opening it up, gesturing me to go in. Silently giggling, I walk to him, removing my bag off my shoulder and tossing to the passenger side. As I get in, Nolan slaps my ass, which causes me to glare at his smirking face. Nolan, then, steps back from my car, throwing me a wave as I fire up my car. Instantly, I drive off the parking lot, quickly heading home to change for work. Once I got home, I head straight to my room, leaving my stuff in my car and locking it before heading in. My shower took about 10 minutes, as I rapidly clean my body and wash my hair. Grabbing my uniform from my dresser, I hear honking noise outside. I shove my feet into my shoes, grabbed my wallet and phone and headed the stairs and out the door, locking it as I exit. Nolan changed his choice of vehicle. He sits, waiting for me on his bike.
