"This thing goes our way, and I... triple Lindy into that box... you know I'm not coming back. You got to promise me not to try to bring me back. Dean-- you go find Lisa. You go live some normal, apple-pie life. Karina-- just go home. Go back to your life before you met us. Dean... Karina... Promise me. Promise me."
Dean Winchester woke up by an alarm that was set at seven in the morning. His eyes looked up at the ceiling as he remained in the present that lasted a year. Lisa was stirring to wake up beside him in the bed when he was reminiscing memories that were unforgettable. She was comforting him with a kiss on his knuckles before they both continued to start their morning with Ben.
From the front door, he received a newspaper lying on the threshold, but there was a box with a note beside it. Lowering down to open a note that was filled with familiar cursive handwriting. "Enjoy your apple pie life to the fullest, dumbass- Kay." He smirked happily before he received the box and newspaper in his hands and closed the door.
The memories with him, his best friend, and his little brother came flooding throughout the day. At breakfast, he sprinkled salt in the eggs before serving his morning with his family for now. His car wasn't Impala anymore, but a tan truck that was suitable for his job as a contractor. Everywhere he went and saw similar ingredients that impacted his hunting life in the past.
Ben had always reminded him of Sammy when he was teaching him the parts of an engine. Every moment with him succeeded when he remembered the parts. At night, he was eating a slice of his favorite pie from the huntress. Drinking a beer on a seat, imagine his friend enjoying himself as they would always do when they were alone. Watching porn, eating pizza in robes, and sharing their special moments together.
Once or twice a week, she would always call him in an encryption call for protection for his family from her hunting life. They would talk and laugh for hours and hours together that might last until midnight. When she was asked by him, she would share the details from her missions and the new training skills she learned and cope by herself. Especially when she was living through a wreck without Sam as well he was too.
When the night was coming closer to the end, he began locking the doors and windows. Checking the spray-painted Demon's Trap under a rug by the door. Peeking through Ben's door to see him sleeping peacefully before he made his way to the master bedroom to sleep with Lisa.
When the underside of a bed, the past still stayed with him. A jar of holy water and a shotgun.

The following night, he received a phone call from unknown contact. Speaking to his cell with a soft smirk on his face when he was looking at the laptop of the police broadcast. Focusing on the missing person report especially what he heard a woman screaming tonight when he was having a drink with his friend from next door. "So you are telling me there are omens in Montana?"
"Yep." From the other side of the call, there was Karina Leone walking to Eternity in her iconic black leather jacket and her ponytail with a backpack from her cabin. "Bobby gave me little notice, but I think it'll do the trick."
"Demons chatting in the Treasure State to enjoy the wildlife. Please tell me you are considering pushing one of them down the mountain."
"I'll sing Coming Around The Mountain as I do." They laughed together before she spoke up in an honest tone. "I miss you, Dean."
"I miss you too, Kay. When can we see each other? It has been a year."
"You know we can't... If we come together, you know you will be putting yourself and your family in danger."
