I love you... I love you...
Three words that included eight letters echoed through her brain. Karina Leone couldn't believe she confessed to him. While it wasn't the real him, she needed that particularly secret she had been hiding from and herself to speak out. She couldn't breath any more shadows in her life including what was in her heart. Her heart belonged to Sam Winchester.
She was standing beside Dean Winchester since Castiel healed her wounds from the previous fight. A fight that involved her confession, since she confessed those words. That means she had to keep that secret so those words wouldn't break the wall. She sighed helplessly, leaving her friend trying to read what was on her mind lately. Since she hadn't spoken a word ever since that particular night.
A door opened from the panic room when Castiel rolled down his sleeve where Sam was laying down on the cot with IV drip in his right forearm. All Karina could think of how handsome he looked with his eyes closed peacefully when her heartbeats pumped through her love to him.
Dean asked, "Well?"
Castiel parted his lips as he slowly demonstrated his answer, "His soul is in place."
"Is he ever gonna wake up?"
"I'm not a human doctor, Dean."
"Could you take a guess?"
Castiel turned around to look at them, "Okay. Probably not."
"Oh, well, don't sugarcoat it."
"I'm sorry, Dean and Karina, but I warned you not to put that thing back inside him."
"What was I supposed to do? Let T-1000 walk around, hope he doesn't open fire? You want me to remind you how he was going to kill your Person? Being Kay's Guardian Angel is not in your resume from that situation!?"
Castiel marched up to him, close to his eyes. Even though Dean didn't mean those words to the Angel, he felt threatened enough to protect the Huntress. "Let me tell you when his soul felt like when I touched it. Like it had been skinned alive, Dean. If you wanted to kill your brother, you should have done it outright." The wings fluttered as he disappeared into thin air.
Dean turned around, noticing that Karina was staring at Sam concerned. He gently rubbed her left arm, "You okay?" She nodded softly as she gave a fake smile toward him. They both looked at their family on the cot before walking up to the living room.
By the brightful evening, they pulled up chairs of their own. Sitting by the desk that belonged to Bobby Singer who was serving them whiskey in the early time. He looked around, seeing the cleaned up walls and floors from the shootout fighting. He jokingly mentioned to Karina that he loved what she had done with his house, then she looked down ashamed.
Bobby noticed their expressions on their faces and then recited a quote to cheer them up. "Like my daddy always said, "Just because it kills your liver don't mean it ain't medicine." Sam still asleep?"
"Yeah," said Dean after taking a sip of his drink.
"He'll wake up."
"Yeah," said Karina as she looked at her playing hands on her lap.
"Guys, he's been through how much? Somehow he always bounces back."
"He had never been through this." Karina laid her eyes at Bobby, he lowered his eyes down. Knowing that the Huntress was right, but she believed his words. Sam Winchester always comes back, no matter what. Considering the circumstances in his life and his soul. She eyed the newspaper that was in front of him as she pointed it out, "Case?"
