From the nearest cafe, Dean and Karina stopped to investigate more on Joyce Bicklebee. She was typing her way on her laptop, scanning the Bicklebee Reality. The picture of her smiling was piercing one of her nightmares. The waitress served him another round of coffee while serving her a fried chicken with pickled onions and a side of fries with coffee.
The huntress cut the half of the sandwich and shared it with her friend. They enjoyed the bites of their sandwich, then Dean began calling Sam. He put it on speaker, "Hey, what's up? I'm on my way."
Dean informed him, "Yeah, not sure we're taking the safe out of town just yet. So, it turns out that Mama Hoarder didn't just die and leave the store to Scott."
"She didn't?"
"No, listen to this. The lady spends 40 years trying to keep that place, right? Then one day she wakes up and sells. Next day, drives her car off a cliff."
They both heard Sam yawning as he replied, "So... what, you think somebody cut her brakes or something?"
"No, I think the world is full of hilarious coincidences." Dean remembered something else from what Karina saw from the website, "Oh, and there's this new company-- never even tasted real estate, just gobbled up a huge chunk of main street. Now, we could be off the deep end here, but doesn't that seem weird to you?'
The phone heard no words from Sam, but the driver whooshing from the road. Dean and Karina called out to him, then he snapped back. "Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, sounds good. Keep me posted."
Karina repeated in concern, "Sounds good? Are you all right?"
"You know how they say that sleep deprivation is an "enhanced interrogation technique"?" Karina hummed a yes, then he replied, "Trust me, it's torture."
They rolled their eyes, then he hung up on the call. Karina pursed her lips, then she looked at Dean with blank eyes. "Yeah, he's doing great. Let's hope he doesn't kill himself on the road." He raised his eyebrows, then she returned typing her laptop for the website. She pressed the contact information, then the screen showed that access was blocked by GeoThrive Inc. "Are you kidding me?"
Dean looked at her, "What?"
Karina sighed in frustration, then she turned her laptop to show what she was seeing from the screen. He squinted his eyes at the screen, then he began dialing the number. He was contacting Frank, sharing the information and hoping that he'll hack anything from the company. Frank said he will look into it, and will call back to them. Dean hung up on the call, then they enjoyed each other's company by eating their meals until they cleaned their plates.
Later, his phone rang and he put it on speaker when he answered the call. "Frank, tell us you got something."
"No, I'm calling with the Lakers-Celtics score."
"What?"
"'Course I got something." Karina chuckled lightly; she certainly liked him a lot. Dean rolled his eyes as they heard more from him, "I figured out why you hit that firewall."
They both waited until Dean spoke to him, "Our silence is your cue, Frank."
Frank chuckled, "Oh, touché. So, you were trying to access the GeoThrive internal site, and the reason why you couldn't is 'cause if you dig down deep, it's all Dick."
"Yeah, well, that'd be helpful if you didn't say that about everything."
"Yeah, except I'm operating on hard fact now, wise-ass."
Karina asked him as she was understanding, "So you're telling us that GeoThrive is part of Roman, Inc?"
"It's a conglomerate within a subsidiary within a conglomerate. It's all tied together, guys."
