The birds were chirping under the warm sunlight. The coolness of the water rushed upon the complexion. Her eyes closed to embrace both temperatures on her body, smiling at the thought of the pulling string being closer and closer to him. She has never been more blessed to have confessed what she held for so long in her heart. She will never forget about last night.

Karina Leone, the Huntress, swam in the lake. Watching the greens around her while soaking the waves that were touching every area of her body. Giggling from the butterflies from her stomach as she danced in the water. Diving below, her arms and her legs kicked pushed toward the surface. Seeing her little friends swimming along with her, she waved softly at them. Their fins turned away from her.

All in her mind kept visualizing the hazel eyes she longed for. Leaving her breathless while underwater, she rose from the water. Her hands pushed her drenched hair aside while she was in black bikini. Her feet floated as she climbed herself out of the lake.

Standing on the field of grass, she reached her towel and dried the aqua away from her figure. She twisted her hair, dripping on nature for more hydration. She slipped her feet into her flip-flops, then wrapped herself in a robe. Karina walked ahead as she craved little bits of food.

When she entered the cabin, she saw Sam looking at his laptop. A video interview about SucroCorp with Dick Roman. Their eyes met, showing the signs of shock and surprise. They both never mentioned anything about last night, and now things have gotten more awkward and weird between them.

Sam shifted in his seat as he was getting up. He saw that she was drenched from swimming in the lake in a robe, and sensed if she needed some privacy. Karina stopped him, "No, no, no need. I just need some snacks." He cleared his throat as he nodded his head, then she softly smiled at him.

Passing by his shoulder, his eyes focused on the screen. Hearing the refrigerator opening, she pulled up some ciabatta bun, salami, cucumber, lettuce, Dijon mustard, and provolone cheese. Karina arranged the ingredients together to make a sandwich upon the cutting board. She could feel him wanting to look and say a word to her, but she ignored them as soon as possible.

Upon the plate, she set potato chips beside the sandwich, then she retrieved a bottle of water from the fridge. She sat beside Sam who was still watching the interview, minding his business. Her mouth savored her bite of her snack as she munched it inside. The silence was deafening between them beside the reporter asking Dick questions about his plan within the corn syrup.

His eyes longed for her when his fist was close to his chin. Looking closely at the drips that were falling across between her covered breasts. How her lashes curled up without a need of mascara. How her lips perfected her profile, he wondered if they were soft or firm. Her black hair that had not been brushed or dried, her shoulders balanced the curtains. He was sure that he saw goldens behind her dark brown eyes. Karina Leone honestly took his breath away by looking at her.

She felt him staring beside her while she was eating. She noticed him not saying a word, then he tried to hide it by looking at his laptop. Her grin curled with a chuckle, then she put down her sandwich and began talking to him. "Sa--"

He responded quickly as he focused on her, "Yeah?" Only on her.

She swallowed her throat before proceeding, "I know it was not the night you were expected. I'm sorry if I caused any damage or--"

"You didn't, Karina. I swear you didn't..." Karina inhaled deeply by noticing how kind he was to her, then he looked down on the table. He confessed rightfully, "I have to admit I was a little shocked."

They laughed together, "I know... I can tell. But, I hope we just... focus on the case? Don't worry about that moment. Dick is coming closer to where his evil plans are."
