A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess in warm weather that was filled with barbecue. Karina Leone was reading her book silently in the corner of a table while Sam Winchester was eating his ribs meal. Dean Winchester held the tray of his own meal and the huntress's meal of sweet and spicy ribs with Sprite as he talked to Bobby on a cell.
They both tried to find other ways to receive Sam's soul instead of following duties from Crowley based on a promise. They both do not trust him that he will do it out of goodwill to give the soul back to him. Karina wanted to pray to Ariel to help her, but Castiel's words were right. She will cause a war between Lucifer and Michael in Hell and bring it to Earth again.
She had nothing to do, but help the research and watched Sam carefully while she was reading her book. The moment Dean spoke the name of Crowley, the King of Hell appeared beside him. "Crowley thinks you're gonna what? That Bobby Singer? Give him a kiss from me."
Karina groaned in disgust by looking at him in the same place as them, then he walked over to the table to chat with her and Sam. "Good news, boys. Huntress." Crowley pulled a chair from another table and sat down in front of the table, "I've got a job for you."
"Okay, how about you take the job and shove it right up your ass," said Karina. Dean sat down beside when he offered her a meal to her.
"Is that any way to talk to your boss?"
"You're not the boss of us, dick."
"Karina, Karina. Been through this. Quit clutching your pearls. You've been working for me for some time. Sam here, longer."
Sam defended, "We didn't know.
"Like that makes a difference to you. You'd sell your brother and your partner for a dollar right now if you really needed a soda." Crowley looked at Sam's glaring eyes while Dean and Karina exchanged similar looks with each other. He turned around to them as he shared a few words, "Look, I'm sending you--"
"No."
Crowley was taken back by the interruption from Dean, "Beg pardon?"
"I've done some shady stuff in my time, but I am not doing this. No."
"Ten quid says you will." He smirked as he challenged the demon, but Crowley pressed a finger on Sam's hand. From the print, it burned him as he was groaning in pain. It was burning like hellfire, "You like pain, Sam? You like Hell? You need to stop thinking of this as some kind of deal. This is a hostage situation, you arrogant thug. I own your brother. Do you understand me?'
Crowley snapped his fingers when he witnessed the painful expressions from Dean and Karina. Even though they didn't like Sam being soulless, they both still cared about him. The snapping healed the burning spot on the hand while the demon stared directly at the duo. "Come on, guys, smile. It's not that bad. Here's incentive: you bag me a live Alpha... and I'll give you little Sammy's soul back with a cherry on top."
"What, Alpha Vamp not good enough for you?" harshly asked Sam.
"Best mind where you poke your nose, if you wanna keep it." Crowley passed a newspaper on a table for them to read the information. "Your merry little hike up the food chain starts here. Businessman was found dead in his car. Chest ripped open, heart missing. Sounds like...?"
"Werewolf."
Dean corrected Sam, "No, it's not a full moon."
Crowley commented, "Werewolves turning on the full moon. So '09."
"He's right. Samuel and I ganked one about six-months back on a half-moon. Things have been out of whack for a while now."
"No kidding." Sam looked over to Karina who spoke a few words, but she avoided her eyes. He took in the two words while he continued to read in the newspaper instead.
