Huntress and the Winchesters were on their way to another mission in Dearborn, Michigan. They were dressed in suits, all of them except the huntress was the only one with high heels and her hair resting on her shoulders. Her breathing calmed down, especially what happened last night which glowed her heart more. Karina Leone cuddled more with Sam Winchester in her bed.
His strong arms spooned around her waist were her favorite part so she could see and feel his biceps. Knowing enough that someone was holding her back for comfort better than being alone. Hearing his soft breathing against her ear while his heart was beating against her back. For the first time, she didn't mind showing her flaws on her forearm in front of him. Even in her past, her father would read her stories so she wouldn't have nightmares, but with Sam Winchester...
Besides the knives and abilities, she never felt more safe when his arms were around her.
The Impala pulled up in front of the apartment, then the trio exited the car with caffeine rushing through their systems. Karina noticed how Sam was getting better and better with the Lucifer's torture as he continued to rub his scar to escape. She lightly touched his back as he looked down on her, giving a short smile to her while walking to the building where it was surrounded by police, forestics, and ambulance.
"Feels wonky."
Sam turned to his brother, "What?"
"Working a regular job."
Karina rolled her eyes then she reminded him again, "How many times I have to tell you? Bobby will call if anything signals about the Leviathans. Let's face it, you want to work this case and you know it."
Sam inferred with the details of the unexpected crime scene, "Cops on the wire sounded, dumbfounded."
Dean raised his eyebrows as he exhaled sharply, "No arguments. It's kind of nice, you know? We're due for a little cut and dry." They all approach the police to reveal their badges to him while he finished off, he looked at his brother. "And... you seem good."
They all went under the yellow tape. His eyes shifted toward Karina who was distracted by the surroundings before she entered the door leading upstairs. "I am. For me." His heart heightened as he spoke his words and then he remembered something as he turned to him. "Thank you."
Dean furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as he asked, "For?"
"Amy. I know you didn't want to let her go, but it was the right thing to do. So, thanks."
"No problem." Sam nodded softly before following Karina upstairs. Not knowing that Dean shifted his facial expression in guilt as he walked along on the stairs.
Trio resumed the revealing badges to the officers so they could step in the room. There was a crashing hole out of the hallway wall that led to a brick wall inside of the apartment. An officer began to inform them, "Welcome to Crazytown, population-- one dead guy."
Karina asked, "Who was he?"
"Matthew Hammond. Seems to have been crushed to death."
"By?"
"Well, if we weren't on the tenth floor, I'd say by a car."
Trio shared looks in the state of unknown confusion before entering the room that was filled with forestics. There was a blood splatter from the impact. When they exited the room, Sam pulled up the EMF meter. There was a full red line while it buzzed for the presence, "It's going crazy. Some kind of ghost?"
Dean asked in disbelief, "With a license?" His thought came to mind as he smiled at his joke, "License to kill."
"Seriously?"
