We pull into a driveway. It's an enormous home with two stories and large white pillars in the front. The shutters on the windows are painted black.

Nik had told me in the car that the rules still apply here as they did back at the old house.

At least this place has some woods, I think to myself Thank God.

Then another thought dawns on me.

Please tell me I don't have to be accompanied into the backyard.

Knowing my luck, the answer is yes.

Elijah and Kol get to work unloading Rebekah's coffin with her still inside.

Hopefully she'll be less of a bitch when she wakes back up.

I still don't know why we moved to New Orleans and everyone is being tight lipped about the whole situation.

Nik notices me staring and smiles.

"It was the home of the governor of New Orleans once upon a time." Nik says
"It's beautiful." I remark
"Oh yes how charming. Nik when are you ever going to let her out of the coffin?" Kol asks appearing behind me
"Whenever I decide to." Nik says simply but his eyes dare Kol to challenge him

He doesn't.

Instead he walks into the house following Elijah and disappearing from view.

Good.
