Elijah's POV:

I turn my head towards the front door. It opens and Klaus walks in as if he hadn't left without a trace not seven hours prior.

"What?" He growls
"Where have you been?" I ask
"Out in town. We needed a few things."
"And what things did we need so desperately that you disappeared for several hours without notice?" I demand scanning his face
"In the car." He says and when our eyes meet, he smirks

We walk outside and I notice the back seats are empty. Klaus walks right over to the trunk.

What has he done?

The door of the trunk pops open and a woman lies there in the trunk, unconscious.

"I figured you might want to join me for a drink." Klaus says with a smile
"Brother whilst I appreciate the gesture, must I remind you that we cannot afford to be reckless with our current situation?"

His smirk fades from his lips and his face takes on a harder expression.

"We don't know if that is the case. It may just be a rumor and we left to be safe." He says lowering his voice to a whisper

"Brother if it is true-"
"It can't be. I killed him myself."
"What's going on?" A female voice asks

I turn and spot Rebekah in the doorway. Kol stands there too, a silver dagger no doubt the one Klaus used to dagger Rebekah with, in his hand. Rebekah stands there in the same outfit she'd had on and her lips are coated in blood.

I hand her a handkerchief.

"I hope you don't mind Nik. I helped myself to your captive in the trunk." She says as she wipes it off

Klaus looks from Rebekah to Kol who smiles and shrugs

"I figured we might as well all die as a family." Kol says with a shrug
"What the bloody hell are you blabbering about?" She asks him

She turns from him to us.

"What happened?" Rebekah asks
"Mikael." Klaus says angrily
