I walk down the stairs the next evening to find Kol sneaking around. No matter how hard I've tried, I can't shake my old sleep cycle and I don't think I want to.
I stop at the bottom of the stairs, surprised he didn't notice me.
"What are you doing?" I demand
"None of your business. Go away." He says shooing me with his hand but continuing with whatever task he's up to
"I'm getting really sick of people saying that." I growl
He turns to face me.
"Then maybe stop poking your nose in places it doesn't belong." He snaps
I roll my eyes and head for the back door, ready to hunt when Elijah stops me.
"Have you seen Nikklaus?" He asks
"No I just woke up. He didn't leave me a note." I say
Kol stops whatever he was doing and I notice how Elijah's eyes lock onto Kol's in an accusing stare.
Kol snorts.
"Yes I did it. You've caught me. I stuffed him in the freezer." He says sarcastically
Elijah takes a few steps toward him.
"Brother need I remind you that if he is missing it is a problem for all of us?" Elijah asks
"I haven't the faintest idea where he's gone and quite frankly I'm glad he found something better to do than be up my ass."
Kol turns and walks away, out the front door and then he's gone.
I turn back to Elijah.
"How big of a problem are we talking?" I ask
"That is a very good question."
