We come up with the game plan on our own since Nik has been of no help. Instead of moving to a different location, we'll stay here, have Mikael to come to us where we can stand our ground and lay out traps if needed.
There's nothing for the first few days. Then we hear that he's closer, now in Arkansas.
"Why is he not coming straight here? What's taking him so long?" Rebekah asks
"Would you rather him come kill us in our sleep tonight sister?" Kol asks
"No it is a good question. What could he possibly be waiting for?" Elijah wonders
Rebekah's eyes go wide.
"The White Oak Stake." Rebekah says
"I thought it was all destroyed." Kol says
"White Oak?" I ask
"That information is reserved for non-traitors only. Kindly exit the room please." Nik says as he walks in the room
"Seriously Nik? Seems like you need all the help you can get." I snap
He ignores me and focuses on the rest of the group.
"The daggers are missing. Who took them?" He asks scanning around the room
"Why? So you can put us all in coffins all over again?" Kol demands standing up
"We can't have them getting into Mikael's hands." Nik says
"No! You just want them back in your own hands to use against us!" Kol argues
It happens so quickly I don't know who strikes first. Kol punches Nik hard across the face and Nik slams Kol onto the table, shattering it. Elijah quickly steps in inserting himself between the two.
"That's enough, both of you." Elijah says
Kol doesn't stop and Elijah gabs him by the collar. Kol tries to shove him away but Elijah holds fast until his brother seems to settle down. He waits a moment then releases him.
Kol sits back down reluctantly and Nik moves to walk away when Elijah blocks his path.
"Sit. We need to discuss the plan."
For the first time since walking in, Nik's eyes land on mine and I look away.
