Hayley's POV:
I sink into my bed, exhausted. Between taking care of Hope one minute then trying to track down this witch, it's been constant moving.
I just need a minute.
I close my eyes and a cry from Hope has me back up in an instant, following the sound. Elijah had been watching her for a bit so I could feed and hop in the shower.
I take off towards the sound and find Elijah holding a tearful Hope who's sniffling.
"What happened?" I ask
"She's alright. She stumbled on her feet but she's unhurt." Elijah says smiling at me
I give Hope a once over then give her a kiss on the forehead. She smiles and giggles which makes me laugh a bit at how cute she is.
After a nice hot shower and a 10 minute struggle to get Hope down, I sit down on my bed and listen to Hope babbling in her sleep.
Klaus and Lorelei are trying to find anyone who knows this Kira witch. It's been days but so far, no luck. Freya keeps reliving a horrible trauma and we're no step closer to figuring this all out.
I toss and turn for a few hours, not being able to get comfortable. With a frustrated sigh, I check the time.
5:26 AM
I groan.
Hope should sleep for at least the next two hours. Two is better than none.
When I wake back up, it's 10 AM and I curse loudly. Then I wonder why I hadn't heard Hope crying at all. I look in her bed but it's empty. I head into the kitchen and find a very happy Hope eating some yogurt with a good amount all over her face.
"I heard her start fussing and you looked like you needed the rest." Klaus says walking towards me and handing me a blood bag
I thank him and take it. I hadn't realized just how hungry I was until I started sipping it. Moments later, the bag is empty and I head over to the fridge for another one.
I wish I could take Hope to the park. I hate that she's stuck here.
"Have you guys made any progress since I've been unconscious?" I ask
"A man in Grenitch sold her some items about a month ago. She'd come in a few times after. It's not the greatest news but it's all we've got right now." Klaus says
"Where is everyone?" I ask as I head for the coffee pot
"Following the lead. I figured it best to have enough people in case of any witchy surprises."
