Hayley's POV:
Freya is quickly skimming over one of the Grimoires on the table. Her eyes dart across the page frantically and she starts hitting things down on a notebook then stands up, grabs it and heads my way.
"Hey what's up?" I ask
"I need a few things from the store and I need you to come with me. We don't have a lot of time." She says walking past me and through the house
I follow at her heels and wonder what's got her so worked up like this. We head into the Quarter to one of the shops. I watch as she collects a handful of supplies.
"Want to tell me what this is about?" I ask
"Not really." She says placing everything on the counter
"Freya." I say
She sighs.
"I'll tell you when we're alone."
When we get back to the compound, she motions for me to follow her and we head into her bedroom. The door shuts behind us. Freya ignites one of the herbs she's holding and waves it around the room chanting quietly.
She sees my confusion as she sets it down.
"Now nobody can hear us."
"Good. Now will you tell me why you're all freaked out?" I ask
She sits down in a chair and lets out a sigh.
"I've been having flashbacks at night of my time with Dahlia." She says
My blood runs cold at the mention of her name.
The Mikaelson siblings were born to a very powerful witch named Esther. Esther couldn't have kids so she asked her sister Dahlia for help. Dahlia took their firstborn child, Freya as payment. She believed she was owed every firstborn of the Mikaelson family. It was the deal she and Esther had made. According to Freya, she never cared for her, only craved the power that came with every Mikaelson firstborn, the same power Dahlia herself carried.
When she had come after Hope, we defeated her together and it had been fairly peaceful since then.
"She's dead. How could she be reaching you in your dreams?" I ask
"I'm not sure. That's what these supplies are for. I'm going to create a boundary spell inside my room and inside the house that way if it is her, she can't get in."
I nod.
I can feel the anxiety start to build and only one thing crosses my mind.
Hope.
