It's nighttime a few days later. It's been silent since the night Mikael stormed through. As I'm walking back from the woods, I notice a woman chanting in front of the house. I rush up to her but it's as if she's in her own world. I move closer and in one moment, I snap her neck. She falls to the ground as Nik appears.

He moves over towards me and stares down at the woman lying dead on the grass.

"Why did you kill her?" Nik snaps

I'm taken aback.

" I saw some woman chanting in front of the house would you rather me do, nothing?" I demand
"Yes! She was getting a location on the White Oak!" He growls
"How the hell was I supposed to know that?" I demand
"Bloody ask! Now we have nothing."
"Okay well I can't just un-kill her so now what?"
"You're going to find me another witch."
"Nik I told you before-"
"Lorelei you either find me another witch or you find the White Oak."

Three painstaking hours later, I finally found a witch willing to do the spell. I'd spent hours scouting the nearby towns. Nik had told me to stay out of New Orleans for whatever reason so it took awhile but I finally had one.

The witch did the spell and it turns out, Kol was wrong. The white oak was not with Mikael the night he showed up. But he was on his way to find it and we need to find it first.

We all gathered together and went out into a nearby town where Mikael was.

We needed to get the steak before he did.

Elijah and Kol were in different positions watching over some of the streets. Nik stood out in the open, as bait. Rebekah and I stood on the rooftops near him.

Mikael appears. He's enraged and looking for Nik who's currently out of his line of sight.

"Come out and face me you coward." Mikael sneers

"I heard you've been looking for me." Nik steps out closer into the light of the street light.

Mikael steps closer to him.

"It's about time you stopped cowering away in that pitiful house." Mikael replies

"I'm here to end your life. We know you'll never leave us in peace. You will never stop hunting me and they'll never betray our vow." Nik says

I scan the streets to where everyone else is positioned. I don't see anything at first, then I catch sight of her blonde hair as it catches the light.

Rebekah.

She's standing on the roof a building away from Mikael and Nik.

My eyes meet hers and she shakes her head. I already know what she's thinking.

We need to locate the White Oak.

Step number one.

Kill Mikael.

Step number two.

Nik and Mikael are moving closer towards one another. I only catch a glimpse as I spot it in his back pocket. I turn back to Rebekah and nod. She returns the gesture.

He's got it.

Mikael and Nik trade punch after punch and I wince as I hear something snap.

Then they're out of my sight. I move to step forward and catch sight of Rebekah as she holds a hand up, signaling me to wait.
