Lorelei's POV:

I walk into the foyer of the compound, exhausted. I make my way to the kitchen and am surprised to see Hayley standing with a coffee cup in hand, staring into nothingness.

"Hey." I say
"Oh. Hey." She says snapping back into focus
"You okay?" I ask
"Yeah. Hope's just having a hard time sleeping in her own room even if it is only feet away." Hayley says and takes a sip from her cup

She turns her full attention towards me. My clothes are ripped a bit and my hair is a mess. I no doubt look as exhausted as I feel.

"What happened to you?" She asks
"Hunt took a lot longer than I thought." I say

Suddenly Hope starts to cry and Hayley sets down her mug.

"Sorry." She says
"No it's alright. I'm going to shower then head to bed." I say

After a nice steaming hot shower to make me clean, I throw on a tank top and shorts, braid my hair and I collapse into bed but it doesn't feel right. I quietly walk over to Nik's room and open the door. Even though we're together, I like to sleep in my own space for the most part.

He's snoring softly and lying on his side, facing away from the door. I make my way onto the bed and curl up with him under the blankets.

I don't know how long I sleep when Nik gently knocks then opens the door.

"Good evening gorgeous." Nik says walking into the room
"Hey." I say with a sleepy smile
"How'd you sleep?" He asks
"Good. " I say as I stretch "What time is it?"
"Around 4pm." He says

I stare at him in surprise.
"I slept twelve hours?" I ask

He chuckles and I shoot him a look and he just smiles back at me. I roll my eyes.

"You seemed a bit tired when you stumbled in here last night." He says

"I'm sorry I-" I begin thinking I overstepped a bit by barging in
"No it's okay love. I always welcome your company." He says

I motion him over and snag him by the shirt and kiss him with a smile.
