Lorena's POV:

I'm outside taking in some fresh air even though it's still dark out. I haven't really been able to sleep tonight due to everything that's on my mind. Especially about Zane. I haven't told Garroth. Or Laurence and I'm just waiting for a right moment to tell either of them. Suddenly I hear footsteps behind me so I turn around to see Garroth coming out of the Castle. He walks up to me.

Garroth: "Lady Lorena, it's late... we only have a few hours before we need to depart to the Eastern Wolf Tribe village. Is something on your mind...?"

"Yes... actually."

Garroth: "You can feel free to confide in me. Is it something you can talk about? I understand that since Laurence and I met up with you and Dante, we haven't had much time to talk about your expedition. Tell me, did Kiki make it to the Wolf Tribe safe?"

I nod my head and he lets out a sigh of relief. I then decide now is the right time to tell him about Nicole and Zane's wedding proposal. I don't think he needs to know about the Mysterious Man in the woods who saved me.

Garroth: ".................... He...............

........... No, I REFUSE TO LET HIM!"

"D-Do you have any idea why Zane is doing this? Why me...?"

Garroth: "If you are thinking Zane loves you then the answer is no, and if he does - that would be a first. Zane has reasons behind what he does, and he never moves without a purpose. He's either wanting to get to me through you or... maybe there's something he sees in you. Either way, it's not for any feelings he has, it's strictly for some kind of profit. Be it emotional or something else..."

"Why did you run away from O'Khasis Garroth?"

Garroth: "... Why do you ask? That's such a particular question and you know why. Because I was being forced into marriage."

I'm about to ask him if that's truly the reason when suddenly Laurence comes out of the Castle and walks towards us.

Laurence: "It's because Garroth's father, the current Lord of O'Khasis once known as a symbol of peace, is now turning into a tyrant in his old age. Isn't that right, Garroth?"

Garroth: "Laurence!? I thought you were dead asleep."

Laurence: "You know as well as I do that a good Guard sleeps with one eye always open. Now, tell me... when were you going to let Lorena know?"

Garroth: "Know about what!?"

Laurence: "Your father."

Garroth: "It's none of her business - it doesn't affect—"

Laurence: "Don't you dare say it doesn't affect her, it's going to affect us all if we don't start doing something about it."

Garroth: "........"

Laurence: "Wake up Garroth! They're forming an ALLIANCE of villages. How long before O'Khasis will convince that Alliance to make them overseer, then an actual Monarchy!?"

Garroth: "... That won't happen—"

Laurence: "YES. IT. WILL. It's already happening. They've swarmed the village of Bright Port with Guards! They're imposing a curfew for goodness sake! How long before Bright Port falls will they go after Phoenix Drop!? Not too long I'd say."

Garroth: "QUIET LAURENCE!"

Laurence: "DON'T TALK TO ME LIKE I'M SOME APPRENTICE GUARD! ... Because I hear you have such a reputation with those..."
